When you are in the heat of an embarrassing moment, you feel like you are the only person on Earth. And yet, embarrassment is one of the most universal emotions we experience. It is exhibited by humans all around the world, and even by other species. But nothing compares to what I was feeling right now.

"Shut up," I snapped at my friends not knowing what else to say. It has to be really a bad day to me if I was at a loss to say something. Caroline Harper was never at a loss for words.

"Aw, did we embarrass you, little Care?" Ryder pouted and reached one hand forward to poke my cheek.

Scowling at him, I swatted his hand away with a glare, "Stop it."

Kade laughed out loud, not even trying to hide his laughter from me, "Tristan surely missed a lot of things today."

I frowned and looked up at Luke, who smiled at amusement and asked, "What? Why are you frowning at me?" The nerve of him to ask that!

"This is all your fault," my frown only deepened as I glared at him.

Luke's both eyebrows rose up as high as they could as he shrugged, "Not my fault at all that you started to blush like a tomato."

"You have-"

He cut me off by leaning in and pressing his lips to my ear to whisper, "By the way, I really, really love it when you blush. It's beautiful."

I scowled at him, "I'm so going to kill you when we get back home."

"I would love that," Luke winked at me in a flirty way making my scowl deepen.

"Okay, okay," Theo interrupted before I could snap at Luke some more, "We were actually talking about how Caroline was going to be alone here."

"I'm not a kid, Theo," I informed him, directing my glare at him, "I can stay by the bleachers and wait for an hour. I will be fine."

"By waiting, you mean to say boy watch?" he asked sarcastically.

I smiled sweetly at him. "You can say that."

And that is how I found myself sitting alone in the bleachers watching my friends practice for the upcoming championship match. The cheerleaders were all in one corner of the ground, practicing their cheers and doing cartwheels. The boys occupied the center of the ground, practicing, but all I heard were their yells and shouting telling one another what must be done.

I sighed. They are taking this practice way too seriously. But then again The wolfs is a championship that we have the pressure to win.

'The wolfs' is a series of soccer games that is conducted all over the country by the Crest High School, our rivals in everything. These series of games have been held for years now and there has never been a day that we had won. The Crest High school doesn't win it either. Every time the champions have been the Carmen Point High School from Brisbane.

This championship has been the only goal for our soccer coach for years now and he would never compromise on this training session. He is going to suck every last drop of blood from the team player's body. The cheerleaders are going to have a hard time cheering too. I really pity them. This is the reason why I did not want to join in anything.

I hate working that hard.

I smiled a little when I saw Luke and Kade tripping on each other's feet and falling down. Kade laughed while Luke glared at him and told him something. I cannot hear what he was telling him from here, but I can tell that he is only making Kade laugh harder, whether he is being serious or not, I cannot tell. I watched in amusement as Kade leaned up and made a scene of trying to kiss Luke, to which Luke scowled and immediately got onto his feet. I think Kade is still using the fact that I told everyone that Luke has a thing for him against him.
