My name is Min Yoongi.

The sexiest man alive, better known as biggest heartbreaker in high school.

I don't do relationships. I do dates, but I don't linger for too long. I'm not proud of it though.

That's how it works for me. Come and go, no strings attached. As long as my body is satisfied, my feelings are irrelevant.

You may deduce that I was that kid who was abandoned by his parents to live a harsh and cruel life, or they died and left me alone to fend for myself, or the whole family is dysfunctional. Well, you're wrong. They're very much alive and well.

My parents love me. I am an only child but I was never a spoiled brat, because they never allowed me to be one.

Whenever I get home from school, I'll find my mom in the kitchen making the most delicious treats, or in the living room doing knitting or sewing, or roaming around the house looking for chores to finish. It fascinates me how much elegance and poise she exudes, even at simplest chores. No wonder my dad is still head over heels for my mom after all these years.

"Find you a woman who makes you fall even more in love as you grow older together, just like your mom," he tells me everyday.

I was not the most romantic type, but their love story makes my stoic self hopeful.

"So, did you make anyone cry today, little Yoongibear?" she'd habitually ask everytime I come home from school while eyeing me suspiciously, knowing exactly my reputation as a nemesis of teen girls' romance.

I'd smile sweetly and kiss her forehead, answering the exact same thing, "Sadly no, dear Mother. But the day has not ended yet."

She'd hit me playfully and ruffle my hair, and pulls me into the tightest bear hug. She still treats me like a baby, it makes me embarrassed, especially when the crackheads were here hanging out.

Dad is an architect. He's very hardworking and busy most of the time, as he's the best of the best in this profession, but he makes sure he has time for my mom and I. He is my role model, my hero, a man I wish to become one day.

We are the perfect, ideal family.

So how did I end up being who I am?

"I have my reasons."

A pretty pathetic excuse, honestly.

My dear parents happen to be aware of my sex life, thanks to my idiotic friends. They're worse than old ladies gossiping all day.

Mom would just shake her head, but she couldn't do anything. Besides, they know what the "reason" was.

"Just stay away from married females, and use protection ALL THE TIME. Who knows what diseases you may contract," Dad would constantly remind me, and I'd scratch my nape from embarrassment.

I let myself believe that my heart will be miserable for a long time. An untimely departure of a first love shattered me, causing my brain to not comprehend because of these ugly emotions that overwhelm me. The idea of giving my love to someone other than my first love was ridiculous.

But Mia happened.

My Mia.

My beautiful doll.

She unlooped an invisible noose hanging around my neck, allowing me to breathe again.

She liberated me from the impenetrable confines my mind built around my bruised and aching heart.

She made me believe that a broken heart can love again, the numbness can slowly dissipate to make you feel once more, the eyes can see through the darkness again...

She saved me... In every aspect of the word.

And as I lay in my bed and close my eyes, one by one, my memories of her, those beautiful moments with her, come rushing like wind and tide.

One more time. Just one more is all I ask to make things right.

To see her again...

To save her this time...
