Mia's POV

I ran as fast as I could, wanting to get away from him, and jumped into the bus with a different destination. I didn't care. I stopped at a familiar area, remembering the direction near the street of my house, and walked. Upon reaching my house, I stormed through the kitchen door and ran at top speed towards my bathroom, kicking off every single wet clothing on me. Shoving them into the laundry basket, I hurriedly stepped into the hot shower to rid myself of coldness. Mind you, it wasn't the cold that sent me shivering, but the memory of what just happened a while ago.

I wasn't supposed to reveal anything about Emily, but I didn't have a choice. Yoongi and his friends are all intellectuals, and pretty sensitive when it comes to people's feelings, so I'm sure they already have an idea what happens when I suddenly have random panic attacks.

But I'll wait until one of them decides to ask personally.

I let my tears fall some more, hoping before evening comes, I'll be okay and my dad wouldn't notice. I don't want to worry him anymore.

The hot running water slowly began to have no effect, with freezing air sending shivers down my spine.

She's here.

Her icy hand caressed my face. I felt no contact of flesh, only coldness, as she was a mirage, nonetheless, I moved, making me incline a little more towards where her hand reached for me. I opened my eyes and beheld her. After years of practice, I got used to it, because whenever I was close to a breaking point, she showed herself to me. The bloody figure of my dead mother, comforting me in ways I needed her to.

"Mom, it hurts so much," I weeped, my face buried in the palm of my hand.

"Hush now, my baby. Mommy's here," her soft, echoing voice soothed me.

I know she's been in the sidelines, unable to interfere. It hurts so much, because she's dead, an image visible only to me, and I can't refrain her from watching these horrible things that's happening to me. Her death cannot protect her from the pain...

"Was he really the one? The one you've foreseen? The one in my dreams?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Why is he hurting me?"

She could only sigh in the most ghostly manner. "It's the will of the heavens, my love..."
