I dragged my shopping buddies Hoseok and Namjoon to look for some cat stuff and cat clothes. Last weekend, Mia and I took our adopted kitten to the vet to give him his shots and for general check up. We found out he was a short legged munchkin kitten, and Mia was ecstatic! Who wouldn't be? They're extremely cute and adorable.

"Why is it Namjoom and I always get dragged into your shopping escapades?" A yawning Hoseok complained.

"It's because I spend less time with you two. Jin is with me during classes, and he nags nonstop. The triplets are nothing but trouble." They haven't thrown a successful prank on me yet, so I need to keep safe distance.

Surprisingly, Namjoon was less clumsy today. He even parked the car without accidentally turning the wipers on. And he was also happy to be on this trip. He was carrying a blue cushion and some small pillows, and dropped them in the shopping cart.

"I'm just relieved to be out of the house. Dad came home yesterday. He said he found the perfect wife for me. But I don't want to get married. I want to be a doctor. You mind if I stay at your house until Monday, Yoongi? I have no energy to hear his plans."

I felt pity for him. But, parents will be parents. "Sure, call on the others as well, we can have a sleep over." Satisfied, Namjoon took out his phone and dialled.

"So, what are we looking for again?" Hoseok asked.

"Cat stuff. Clothes, food, treats, toys..."

"Ahh. A way to a woman's heart is through her kitty. Wait. That didn't sound right..."

My shameless cackling filled the whole store, earning a few glances from the shoppers nearby. I smacked him on the head.

"Ah you perverted fool. But on a more serious note, it's a way to see her more often. I have rights, Migi is my son, too."

"You're so sly, Yoongibear! We should hang out a lot. I suck at impressing the girls lately... Carly likes dogs. Should I get a dog?"

I simply shook my head. "What happened to Vanna?"

"Don't even ask, please..."

~~~~^~~~~
Migi was growing pretty strong.
And heavier than normal, lazier, fatter.
His little bowtie and vest set made him look like a little penguin. Half of the clothes we got for him last month seemed to not fit anymore. I guess I need to go shopping again.
"Mia, do you think we should put the cat on a diet? He's doubled his size in just little span of time. And he's rounder." The gray and white cat glared at me. I think he understood what I said.
She took him from my arms, and laid him on the cushion I bought since he's been scratching his "mother's" blankets. "He's a growing boy, and he's not fat. He's... Growing."
"Does he even walk on his own, or play with his toys? All he do is curl and cuddle up to you, crawl to you, ask food from you, ask hugs from you, ignore me, shoot daggers at me. I'm surprised he hadn't scratched me yet, even had to pick him up myself before he notices I'm around, won't even greet me on his own, ungrateful cat-" the bitterness in my tone quite evident.
She tilted her head to the side, examining me closely. "Is Yoongi Sr. jealous of his son?"
I stared back with hooded eyes. "Well, you talk to him often. You even ignore me, as if it's just you two in the room, I had to speak for you to notice me."
She threw her head back and laughed, then looked at me. "I humbly apologize. It's just that he needs my attention. Now that he's sleeping, again, let's talk. What do you want to discuss today?"
"Nevermind."
I slumped on the sofa, sulking. I made sure each time I come over her house on weekends, we only stay on the porch or the living room, to avoid suspicions. I wanted to keep a good relationship with Mia's dad.
"You have my attention now, Yoongi," she said softly.
I glanced at her sideways. She looked so perfect. She wore a baby blue cardigan over a white knee-length dress, her hair tied up in a messy bun. To other girls, the whole ensemble was outdated and oldfashioned. But I think it was just perfect. My heart skipped a beat when she bat her eyelashes playfully. I couldn't help but smile.
Eversince Migi came into our lives, Mia became livelier, happier.
She thought I wouldn't notice that she still cut herself, she still hurts herself, small bloodspots on the sleeves of her clothes she tried so hard to hide from me. She still suffered. But now, with the cat around, a new aura shrouded her. Hope.
Migi did have this therapeutic effect on her. It must be fate for me to find him.
