"So, Mr.Hal Thaddeus Carson..." I started, holding the journal infront of me. "Do you promise to tell me the truth and nothing but the truth?"

He only looked at me incredulously. "Seriously? You're going to record this?" Pag-alma niya at tinukoy ang video-camera na nasa harap namin. Nandito kami ngayon sa garden nila, isinasagawa ang unang bahagi ng Operation "Courting Hal."

"Tsaka, what are you wearing?" He asked, amusement evident in his tone.

"Bakit? Ano bang mali sa suot ko?" Lito kong tanong, checking what I am wearing. It's a grey turtle neck long sleeves and a black pencil cut skirt.

"It's corporate." Depensa ko, ayos nga e, para talaga akong interviewer.

"I know, what I mean to say is, bakit ka nakasuot ng ganyan?" Tanong niya muli, checking me out while his thumb and index finger caresses his chin.

"Wag nang maraming tanong kasi Stoney. Ako yung interviewer diba?" Usal ko, at ini-ayos na muli ang recorder.

"Do you promise to tell me the truth and nothing but the truth?" I repeated, fighting the urge to smile. I must admit, this is ridiculous.

He heaved a sigh, "Yes." Maikli niyang sagot, equalling my gaze with much more intensity.

"First question.." I paused, "Are you over with your relationship with Ms. Eurydice Manalo?"

I anticipated his answer, chewing my bottom lip. "No." Malamig niyang tugon, guilt flickering in his eyes.

Swallowing the bile in my throat, I replied with a forced smile. "Guess I was right, so I will present to you my plans in order for you to fully recover from your heartbreak." Inilahad ko sakanya ang journal ko na agad naman niyang tinanggap.

"Operation: Courting Hal?" Tanong niya, flipping the pages to check the contents. I hummed proudly, nakulangan ako ng tulog dahil diyan.

"Okayyyy.." binawi kong muli ang journal at nagsimula ng idiscuss sakanya ang plano. "First thing we have to do is, know the reason bakit kayo nagbreak and come up with a resolution."

"Bakit nga ba kayo nagbreak? Sa pagkaka-alala ko, ang sabi niya ay wala ka raw time para sakanya. Lack of intimacy at nagsasawa na raw siya sa relasyon niyo. Am I right, Mr. Carson?" I raised a brow, provoking him.

He glared playfully at me, "Yes, I believe you are right Ms. David."

"So, our main problem here is your lack of intimacy. Ang cold mo masyado, kaya let's see what I can do."

Nagsulat ako ng mga sweet gestures na maari niyang gawin.

"Do you hold her hand in public?" Usisa ko, pero based sa mga actions niya simula nakaraang buwan, hindi na malaking problema ang holding hands in public.

"Scratch that, How do you hug her? Can you demonstrate?"

Mapag-akusa niya akong tinignan. "Gusto mo lang yata akong mayakap."

I gave him an offended look, but still urged him to do so. "Dali na! Sayang ang oras oh!"

"Tss."

Lumapit na siya sakin, his cold stare never fleeting, making the butterflies in my stomach rumble. He gently embraced me, his right hand behind my neck and the other on my back.

Napaigtad ako sa gulat. Not because I was startled by his hug.

"Anak ng tokwa naman Hal!" Singhal ko, di makapaniwala sa ginawa niya. Lito niya akong pinagmasdan pagkakalas niya sa pagkakayap.
