It's an obvious thing that I'd have to write about what books mean to me, in the end, I am a writer, and I wouldn't be if I never really read.
So you know how they say that books are an escape from reality? I guess that's true, but they're also more than that.
Are you comprehending that you're sitting there, reading a bunch of words that are making up scenes in your head.
There's literally a movie that is playing in your head, you laugh when something funny happens, and cry when some character dies, and you feel all these emotions and attachment to the book and it's all a figment of your imagination.
All these things happen because of a combination of twenty six letters. How freaking crazy is that?
So yeah, books are an escape, but they also give us hope, maybe in romance, or family stuff, or in acadamic things, but they make us happy, and that's something we rarely find these days. Happiness I mean.
For those who don't like reading, obviously there's the unspoken rule that if you don't like to read it means you haven't found the right book yet.
Because when you do, find the right book, I promise you will regret wasting all these years not opening a single book your entire life.
