The thing about new beginnings

I always think about life being three parts, which is awfully dreary to think about when you're about to finish the first part.

Education, marriage, work.

No, they do not have to be in that order, go wild, do them however you want.

But that's it.

I'm about to start college, which is a new beginning for me. None of my school friends are going to the same college I'm going to, and that is really scary when thinking about it.

Because everyone wants a new beginning, but no one wants to go through it alone.

I guess there is an upside about having this new beginning, and I don't want to say that I'll have a clean slate, new relationships and a reputation to create..

But I do.

And that's kind of relieving when your school friends weren't all that great. When you've had several people that were nothing but toxic, and only like three people that you'll cherish forever, then a new beginning is a damn good place to start with in this new part of life.

They're scary, but the unexpected is always scary.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that we don't get a lot of new beginnings in this life, just enough that you can merely count on one hand, so making sure you get the best out of them is a must, regardless if fear was there or not.

New beginnings are also a form of hope to a better life, and hope is hard to get when you're living in a world like ours.
