The thing about anxiety

It's hammering against my chest. So loud I almost thought that the people infront of me could hear it.

Anxiety. And its damn symptoms. The way it makes your hand clammy with sweat, your eyes to go back and forth on your surrounding.

It seems like the most normal stuff to do, is hard when anxiety is lurking around the corner. We try to ignore it.

We try to look the other way, force a smile out as we stand in a group of stangers that are all laughing, but our ears are blocking all the noise.

Socializing, gosh, the essence of building a life outside family lines, and sometimes it's such a painful process.

Don't say the wrong thing.

Don't comment about that, but throw a comment about this.

Don't let them intimidate you. You're not smaller than them.

Anxiety to some people is a lot more serious than this, so much that it's a diagnosed mental illness. People rarely ever recognize that.

Same as depression, but that's a story for another time.
