Highschool (Luke)

Hello!!! Here's Luke's part of Highschool!

The noisy boys next to you kept accidentally bumping you and were getting on your nerves. Your music teacher brought the classes' attention to the front and you silently thanked him for shutting everyone up. "Ok class! Today we're going to bring you all out of your comfort zones and pairing up in twos to work on an assignment." Everyone was making eye contact with each other already picking their partners. You sat alone waiting for anyone to pick you. "Wait! I didn't say go! And besides. I've already picked your partners for you." The class groaned and you sighed. Great. You'd probably be with one of the obnoxious boys. "Ok Robert and Alicia. Eric and Jenny. Luke and Y/N..." You raised an eyebrow and looked across the room at the blonde. He blushed and looked away. The teacher kept calling names and he finally paired everyone up. "Your assignment is....drum roll please." A drummer in your class started the drum roll and the class joined in. "You need to work together and use your voices to create your own harmonies and melodies to the song 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith. You will be presenting these to the class at the end of the period. Winning pair gets free lunch. Good luck. You may begin now." You loved that song! The only problem is, you've never sang in front of the class before. And you've never heard Luke's voice either. You were the shy ones. Gee that helps a lot. Luke stood from his seat and weaved his way over to you with his iPod in his hand. He grabbed the chair next to you and scratched his cheek. "So um. I'm Luke." He said quietly. You smiled shyly. "I'm Y/N." You were both silent for a few minutes before he stood back up and held his hand out to you. You gave him a questioning look and he chuckled. "I'm going to ask if we can go in the hall and get away from these freaks." You nodded and thanked him which made him smile.

"Ok how about we start with the line 'is a moment I treasure' and continue from there?" He suggested. You nodded and crossed your arms, not ready to sing in front of this boy. "Want me to start? Then you can join in?" He asked. "Sure. I guess." You answered. He grinned and cleared his throat. "Every moment I spend with you is a moment I treasure. Don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep 'cause I'd miss ya baby, and I don't wanna miss a thing. 'Cause even when I dream of you, the sweetest dream would never do, I'd still miss ya baby and I don't wanna miss a thing." He sang with such emotion and heart and your pulse quickened hearing his voice. He blinked and smirked. "Um...you were supposed to join in." He said. You turned bright red and looked at your shoes. "S-Sorry. I was distracted. You're a really good singer." You admitted. He smiled and lifted your chin. "I'd be even better if I had someone to sing with me." He whispered. Your knees shook and you slowed your breathing. "Want to try it again?" He asked. You nodded and took a deep breath. "You start." You said. He grinned and started the song again. When he got to the chorus, you started singing at a higher octave and the chemistry between your voices exploded. It sounded amazing and new. Luke's eyes sparkled while you were singing and you began to relax and focused on his lips. "And I don't wanna miss a thing." You ended the song and you both stood there with big smiles on your faces. "We're so going to win that lunch."

You went back into the classroom and the presentations began. Up first was a couple that sounded absolutely horrid. Apparently they didn't know the skill of blending. Every couple after that did a surprisingly good job. When the teacher called you and Luke, he squeezed your hand and stood in front of the class. Luke winked at you and started the song and shortly after you harmonized and felt the magic once again. "I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep 'cause I'd miss ya baby and I don't wanna miss a thing. 'Cause even when I dream of you, the sweetest dream would never do, I'd still miss ya baby and I don't wanna miss a thing." The whole class was silent and you blushed while Luke took your hand. "Y/N. Luke. You really understood the purpose of this assignment. You were put in a situation you weren't sure of, but you worked together and came up with one of the best duets I've ever heard. Well done. Your voices together were phenomenal. Congratulations on winning the competition. That was amazing." You smiled and Luke laughed and spun you around. "We won!" You giggled and held on to his arms. "We only won lunch. It's not like we won a million dollars." "But still! Free lunch Y/N! Food! We get free food!" You laughed and the began the start of a new friendship, and possibly something more down the road ;)

Guyssss!!!!  My  17th  birthday  is  tomorrow!!!!!!!  I'M  MEETING  DEMI  LOVATO!!!!!!  I'm  so  excited!  My  dad  also  bought  me  a  birthday  cake.  He  never  does  that!  I  almost  cried  when  he  told  me  xD  I  hope  you  guys  are  having  a  good  day!  If  you're  not,  remember  that  Ashton  is  a  kangaroo.)
