"I always love to see  new tributes join us... We never know what they'll be like, or what  they've got up their sleeves." -Fillius Ravenscar

Name: Samuel Stone

Age: 16

Gender: Male

District: 1

Physical Description:  Tall, built like a tank and slim. Looks a lot like his twin, Greyson,  the noticeable difference being that Samuel has no burn mark and his  eyes are blue rather than black. His hair is shorter than his brothers  and cut around the sides. Broad shoulders, large arms and legs - the  peak of athleticism.

Personality: He's a  natural show off and likes to be known as the best at everything.  Doesn't like second place and refuses to give up. On the outside he's a  cocky; charming casanova...but, on the inside he's guilt ridden. Having  to live with the knowledge he caused the exile of his brother and then  having to walk around like he barely even cared he's worried his facade  might crumble. So he's constantly snapping at people when they get too  close to his true feelings and he uses and abuses people for the hell of  it. Guilt has really turned him into a monster.

Craft: Jeweler

Skills: He is a jack of  all trades and; thanks to his constant training, he is able to use all  manner of weaponry - however he is a master of none and does not shine  in any particular field.

Weapon of choice: Dual pistols.

District Token: A small bag of diamonds he was given on his 12th birthday by his brother. It never leaves his side.

Backstory: Born as the  childhood prodigy; from a young age Samuel was hailed as being  different; special - a future victor for all to love. It was this path  he followed; half because his parents pushed him into it and half  because he liked the lifestyle popularity brought. Soon forgetting about  his twin brother, Samuel began to get more and more outrageous with his  parties, with his clothes ad with his showing off. Then, on his 12th  birthday he was dared to sneak into someones house and steal something.  They told him if he could do it, and out run their guard dogs - he'd  prove to them all he really was a victor to be.

And so Samuel stole and Samuel got caught.

Terrified he would loose  his reputation he and his parents put the blame onto Greyson and pushed  him out of the family. Greyson was never seen again and Sam was pushed  to keep training and rebuilding his reputation.

He never even got to say  goodbye to his twin; but now it's his fear that he'll have to do it all  over again - except this time in the hunger games.

Samuel Stone: District One

MusicIsMySoul

I winked at myself in  the mirror, damn I looked good...but more important than that, I looked  ready. I, Samuel Stone looked ready to become a Hunger Games tribute.

"Come on Sam," said my  father, appearing in the mirror behind me, "we have a reaping to  attend." I gave him my signature smile and his chest puffed out with  pride. "That's my boy."

With little more to be  said I was ushered out of my home and down the street to where the  reaping would take place. This would be my second attempt at getting in  and nothing would stop me this time.

A quick prick of blood  was taken and I was put into the all male roped off area. Looking around  at my competition I felt a sense of confidence - there was no way  anyone in this crowd could even come close to my skills.

Not even Greyson? My mind whispered.

I shook it off; I didn't need thoughts of my brother disrupting my calm.

Mere moments after Effie  arrived on stage she had picked the first female tribute - I didn't  even pay attention her, I didn't care. She'd have to die in the end  anyway.

Next Effie moved to the mans pot and I crossed my fingers. "Please," I muttered, "please."

There was a few heartbeats of silence when the expected happened. A piece of paper was removed and Effie smiled.

"Samuel Stone," she said.

I could hear my mother  and father cheering from the distance as I took the stage and looked out  onto my soon to be adoring crowd. There wasn't a single person in a  single district who would stop me from winning; from finally redeeming  my family name.

Not even Greyson.
