The Writer Games: World Edition
Quarterfinals: Stereotypical Hollywood Sham
The trees reach upwards, their branches brushing up so high that they seem to touch the moon and the stars themselves. Over the day, it held the image of your friends. Now it shows the people who are no longer your enemies.
Céline Evalana-Fiona Pontmercy, Sophia Povlakos.
Once again, the earth spins, sending you stumbling over to the north. After yet another round of this happening, it is finally beginning to lose its effect.
Looking around you, you see a place full of beauty and nature, but water surrounding you a mere few feet away. Bamboo trees grow where there are no buildings and you can occasionally see small pots containing bonsaï trees on the ground. The earth begins to shake, and for a minute you wonder if you are once again about to change continents.
Xylia's face appears in the sky. "Hello, tributes!" she chirps, her tiny voice - just like the rest of her porcelain-doll appearance - barely noticeable. "There are only eight of you left, and you've all done absolutely splendid. Évangélique is quite pleased, I'll tell you that."
A gigantic wave appears in the distance and the ground continues to tremble.
"As you may be aware, the island of Japan is a hotspot for natural disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes," she looks at the approaching disaster, almost wistful. "It seems my work will end up quite the mess... Oh well, all for the greater good!"
Xylia's face disappears, then pops up again. "Oh, right! I almost forgot the disclaimer: 'We Gamemskers of the World Games are not insinuating that Japan is nothing but a place of natural disasters. We've simply... gone a little Hollywood is all."

Congratulations, Quarterfinalists!
Now, onto the task requirements:
-You must find a way to survive these natural disasters. Have fun with that, and maybe it'll come in useful if you ever do get stuck in an earthquake and/or tsunami.
-You must kill one tribute. They can be killed by you, or another tribute, or the natural disaster, but ONE TRIBUTE. No more, no less. Please tell me who you killed at the end of the entry.
-Hand in by Tuesday at 8 PM EST. Failure to hand in will result of being instantly put up for votes with a score of ZERO. You probably don't want this.
-This is the last round for sponsor benefits to save Perdu and Pippino from votes. HOWEVER, sponsors cannot save you from failing to hand in.
Also, an important message: by signing up for these Games, you have put your faith in my ability to score your entries fairly. If you do not like scores that were given, do not complain to me. I give nothing but what I find fair.
