In the crumbling,  battered caves, the anthem plays. The remaining tributes turn their  faces to the sky, wanting news of their allies and enemies, waiting for  the faces of those who didn't survive the day.

First, Samuel. He looks  down calmly over the arena, over the waterfall gushing into the newly  formed caves, finally reunited with his twin.

Second, Violet. Her eyes  are still perfectly lined, her hair styled into impeccable curls. She  couldn't be anything but Capitol; now she is dead.

Now there are only six left.

Welcome to the semi-finals.

As usual, the screen  stays up as the tribute faces fade away. Melodica's face replaces them.  Underneath the tributes' feet, the sound of rushing water starts to get  louder.

"Six of you left,  tributes!" Melodica sings, "How are you coping with being underground?  It's a bit cramped, and dark, isn't it? Not Brielle's sort of thing at  all, come to think of it."

Water starts to seep through cracks in the walls and trickles across the floor.

"No, Brielle would have  preferred to see you all in the open air. So let's get you there then,  shall we? There's one exit, big enough to fit one person at a time. It's  a bit of a maze but you should be able to find your way. And you'd  better do it quickly! That water isn't going to stop rising any time  soon!"

The water covers the floor now. Slowly, the lights are getting dimmer, plunging the caves into almost total darkness.

"Well, this is the last  time you'll be hearing from me, so I hope you can swim and may the odds  be ever in your favour!" Melodica trills, and the holo snaps shut.

Now the only noise is the rising water and the frantic breath of the tributes hurrying for the exit

Task:

- Get to the exit.

- Well, you didn't think  it'd be that simple, did you? If you are in an alliance, you must be  the only one to survive. That's right, it's time to kill off your  friends.

- You don't have to kill anybody else, since you're all going up for votes regardless of the death count. Isn't it exciting?

- Word limit: 1,500 words.

-Due Monday at 8 PM CST.
