Task Five: For Lack Of A Better Name

Another day has passed.  The flowers have withered away and died. You have gathered your wits and  the remainder of your supplies, and the arena is peaceful. The only  noise is the steady gush of the waterfalls and your own breathing.

Not for long.

The bats cross through the cave a third time, showing the faces of the pair from Five and the volunteer from Four.

Melodica's voice rings  out as her face appears on the ceiling of every cave, where the faces of  the dead were shown not moments ago.

"Well, tributes, I hope  you're all nicely fed, watered and rested! You've been very quiet for a  while; frankly it's something of a disappointment. But don't worry.  We're not going to send more mutts after you. The last two were enough,  don't you think?"

It's hard to tell in the  gloomy light, but it feels as though the floor might be shaking. A low  grumbling sound vibrates through the rock.

"Yes, I think so," Melodica continues, "So, let's see how you cope with this..."

No sooner has her face  flickered away than the entire arena is engulfed in an earthquake. The  lights shudder on and off, and stalactites fall from the ceiling,  piercing anything in their way. Somewhere, somebody screams.

Melodica's voice shouts  over the top of the noise. "Oh, and by the way. Anybody calling me Melo  can expect to meet with a gruesome death. Especially you, Fillius."

You look around, terrified and desperate from shelter. The roof appears to be falling in.

Task:

-    Survive the earthquake

-    You may kill up to 3 people, but you must kill at least one.

-    Word Limit: 1,250 words.

-    Requirement: your tribute must get seriously injured. Not a scratch or a bump on the head, an actual threatening injury.
