"I don't wanna hurt you." He choked out, wiping his hair out of his face. It was so light it may as well be white, hidden mostly by a beanie and his dark hoodie contrasted eerily with his light jeans and dirty sneakers.
"Y-You don't have to, okay? Y-You can take anything you want and I won't say a word. No police." She promised, trying to think of anything to say to save herself. She could instantly think of her phone and all the pictures she had on it that meant the world to her - she didn't want to lose those, but her life was more important than any photo. All she could do was hope her security team could see her from the fence since as they were in the main area of the bus, but she doubted they'd be looking in the direction of the bus. Everybody was excited, ready to celebrate. Kath cowered slightly as he took a step towards her with the knife still pointing at her, but she didn't move. Every instinct she had was screaming at her to try and run for the doors of the bus, to lunge for her phone to try and call the police, but her fear rooted her to the spot.
"You weren't supposed to be here!" He yelled and Kath swallowed hard, trying to keep herself under control. She could tell her hands were shaking as she held them up, though, completely overwhelmed and terrified.
"I can show you where my jewelry is, I can... I can show you where anything you want is." She offered, but he just stared at her. He looked moments away from crying himself, the knife shaking in his hands as he held it out towards her.
"I don't wanna do this." He choked out.
"Then don't... y-you don't have to. You can just turn around and we can both forget this ever happened... w-what's your name? I-I'm Kath." She introduced herself, going to start lowering her hands but she quickly put them back up when he held the knife up to a little higher.
"I know who you are. Your face is everywhere." He growled and Kath forced a smile.
"Is that why you're here? I-I don't blame you, I'd rob me too if I saw my face everywhere." Kath tried to make light of the situation, trying to save herself but she couldn't tell whether it was working or not. He stared at her with a mixture of hatred and pure fear.
"My dealers are after me... I-I can't get away from them! I need cash." He choked out and it was then that Kath saw the pinprick scars that were visible where his hoodie had ridden up slightly on his arms and he even had a few on his neck.
"Listen, I... I've been there, okay? But you don't need drugs, they'll ruin your life... put the knife down and I-I'll help you... I'll get you into a rehab-"
"I DON'T NEED REHAB!" He yelled, taking a large step towards her so there was less than ten feet between them, the knife only inches away from her throat. Kath could barely breathe, terrified that she wouldn't make it out of the bus alive. "I need cash." The intruder demanded, his voice low and threatening.
"I don't have any cash... I-I don't have any on me, but I can go to an ATM-" She yelped as he grabbed hold of her arm, shoving her harshly so that her back hit the wall.
"I don't believe you." He accused, the knife digging into her dress. She could feel the sharpness against her stomach but it wasn't enough to cut through her clothes or skin yet - one small added pressure and she was dead, she knew that.
"Y-You can search this whole bus, I can guarantee you I don't have cash - I don't use cash." Kath finally let her eyes fill with tears, terrified as he pushed the knife further into her and she could feel her dress ripping slightly. "I swear! I fucking swear!" She begged.
"KATH, RUN!" Their heads whipped to the direction the voice came in and she saw a stranger there, his hair dark and he looked just as terrified as she felt but he was lunging towards the robber. He managed to pull the intruder off of her before he had the chance to sink the knife into her. The two men were instantly struggling with each other, the dark-haired stranger giving Kath the chance to run and she immediately took off towards the doors but she froze when she heard a thud and the robber had managed to knock her hero to the couch but he was instantly back up onto his feet, fighting the robber.
Kath went running from the bus, but she was grabbed. She screamed, fighting back against the arms that restrained her.
"Get off her!" The dark-haired stranger yelled, his voice hoarse from the effort but the entire bus went deathly still and silent as the robber shoved Kath backward, further into the bus.
She slipped, banging her head hard on the counter before hitting the floor.
Kath was unconscious on the floor of her own tour bus.
