A week crawled by like it lasted a lifetime, but Kath had seen Noah three times at Karla and Rommel's house for a couple of hours each time. It was hard for them to say goodbye to each other each time, but Kath wasn't ready to see DJ again yet. She'd left Dylan at his parents' house for a few hours whilst she got some shopping done and picked up the last of her things from the house, DJ being at his parents' house to spend some time with the baby but he made sure to leave when Kath texted that she was on her way.
Kath was just finishing her breakfast when her phone rang, nervous when she saw it was DJ, but she answered it - just in case it was anything serious about Noah. "Hello?"
"Hey... I don't want to do this without talking to you about it first." DJ said and Kath's eyebrows creased in confusion.
"What?"
"Noah came to me last night and asked about Jasmine... but I don't want to take him to her if it isn't something you're comfortable with. No matter what you say, you're his Mom." DJ said and Kath let her eyes burn with tears.
"If he's asking about her, it can't hurt to let them see each other... she's his birth Mom after all, and you trust her that she won't hurt him. Just don't leave them alone together? He... he's been through enough changes lately for him to be left alone with her during their first meeting." Kath pleaded and DJ nodded his head.
"Of course. We were just going to meet up at the park, maybe have a picnic or something." DJ said and Kath wiped away the singular tear that rolled down her cheek.
"Like a date?" Kath asked.
"No... no, we're just working on being friends. The same way we're doing." DJ said.
"Maybe... maybe we can grab lunch or something sometime this week, we can bring the kids... do something as a family, so they both know that we can still do things as a family." Kath said and DJ cracked a smile.
"I'd like that."
"Me too." Kath breathed, matching his smile. "And um... can I have Noah for the night? I-It doesn't have to be tonight or anything since as you have plans, but-"
"No, no! I can bring him over after we're done with Jasmine?" DJ suggested and Kath smiled wider, looking over at Dylan who was cooing to herself as she laid in the bouncer.
"Sounds good to me. Is he there?"
"Yeah, he wants to talk to you," DJ said before handing his cellphone to Noah.
"Mommy!"
"Hey, handsome! How are you doing?" She asked, setting her empty cereal bowl in the sink for her to do dishes later when Dylan was napping.
"Mommy, will it hurt your feelings if I meet Jasmine today?" Noah asked, sounding worried.
"No, baby, of course not! Because you can have a special bond with her and a special bond with me, it doesn't make a difference... I still love you lots." Kath assured him and she smiled when Noah giggled, obviously relieved.
"I'm nervous, though."
"Your tummy feeling funny?"
"Yeah."
"Mommy feels like that sometimes, but you're a very brave little boy... and I'm sure Jasmine is a very nice lady, Daddy wouldn't be introducing you otherwise and you wanna know a secret?" She whispered the last part.
"What?" Noah asked, getting excited.
"You get to spend the night here with me and Dylan tonight," Kath said, having to hold her phone away from her ear as Noah screamed with excitement.
"Mommy! I can't wait!" Noah exclaimed and Kath smiled so widely that she was close to tears.
"Me neither, monster... but you have a good time with Jasmine first, okay? I can't wait to hear all about it." She said, the two of them exchanging 'I love you' before she said her goodbyes to DJ and they hung up to each other. "Looks like we have to get some groceries for Noah, baby girl! Let's get you dressed, beautiful." Kath lifted Dylan from her bouncer chair, doting on her - she felt more positive after her talk with DJ and Noah, even though she was apprehensive about DJ introducing Noah to Jasmine. She was his mother and she had to trust that DJ wouldn't take such a big step if he didn't trust her completely.
Kath pushed the stroller in front of her as they walked towards the grocery store, but she froze when she heard someone call her name.
"KATH!" She turned her head, her eyes widening at who she saw and she couldn't help but smile.
"Enrique?"

"My fellow Star Magic survivor!" He chuckled, giving her a hug and he smiled into the stroller. "I heard you have a baby now. Hey, I'm buying you a coffee. Come on." He said, tugging her arm and making her laugh.
"I-"
"You're telling me you couldn't use a caffeine kick? Come on, we need to catch up." He hyped her up, and she couldn't help but smile.
"Fine, but only because I haven't seen you in years!" She exclaimed, making him grin and they started to walk together towards the nearest coffee place.
