Kath was discharged from the hospital the following morning, already having her first midwife appointment scheduled in a few days time. DJ drove Kath back to the hotel where she'd been living, supporting her back up to her room and making sure she was comfortable in bed before he went to pick up her car from the movie theater. He let the valet take care of her car before he went back to his parents' house, knowing he had to return Dylan to Kath since as they'd be out of bottles for her and switching her to formula so suddenly would upset her stomach.

"Only me!" He called as he let himself into his parents' house, smiling as Noah came and rushed to hug him.

"Daddy!"

"Hey, monster!" DJ kissed the top of his head. "Were you a good boy?"

"Yeah, I helped with Dylan at bathtime!" Noah boasted and DJ smiled, ruffling his hair.

"I'm proud of you, kiddo." He said, before leading the way into the living room to see Karla holding Dylan, but it was clear that the baby girl wasn't going to settle - she'd been away from Kath too long.

"You look exhausted." Karla noticed, letting DJ take Dylan to greet his daughter.

"Noah, go grab your things!" DJ encouraged, Noah rushing off upstairs to grab his overnight bag and DJ sighed, looking back at his Mom. "I have to rearrange my date with Jasmine."

"Why?" Karla was suddenly nervous, seeing the expression on his face.

"Kath collapsed last night at the movie theater when she went out with Enrique and Liza... Liza called me and Kath was the one who told me that she found out she was pregnant - they ran a blood test at the hospital." DJ said and Karla's eyes widened.

"But that's so soon after Dylan..."

"They're classing it as a high-risk pregnancy, she has to see a midwife every month and it'll probably get more often later on in her pregnancy... they gave us the option to terminate the pregnancy and we... we thought about it, slept on it for an hour or two and we're gonna go on with it - as long as it isn't effecting Kath's health. W-We discussed that this morning... if it became a risk for Kath to continue on in the pregnancy, then we didn't have a choice... Dylan and Noah need her." DJ said and Karla nodded her head, standing up and she kissed his cheek.

"Well, congratulations." She breathed. "Does this mean you're... back together?" Karla tried to hide the hopefulness in her voice, trying to hide her disappointment when DJ shook his head.

"We're friends, and we've arranged for us to go out with the kids on my next day off - take them to the beach or something, so Dylan can feel the sand for the first time," DJ said with a small smile and Karla smiled.

"That sounds lovely." Karla praised.

"Can you just keep the pregnancy news to yourself? We want to try and tell Noah together." DJ said and Karla nodded her head.

"Of course!" Karla assured him, smiling at her grandson as he came into the living room carrying his backpack.

"Are we seeing Mommy now?"

"Only for a few minutes to drop Dylan off, bud, she needs to sleep because she still isn't feeling too good," DJ said and Noah stared up at DJ, a worried expression on his face.

"Is she hurting?"

"No! No, bud, she'll feel much better when she has a sleep and a cuddle from her favorite son." DJ assured him and Noah smiled, nodding his head quickly and he hugged Karla goodbye before heading out of the house with DJ and Dylan.

Kath grinned as the bedroom door opened and she saw her children, catching Noah as he dove onto the bed - subtly protecting her stomach. Her baby was already in danger, she didn't want to risk anything. "Hey, monster!" She kissed his head, squeezing him against her side but she took Dylan from DJ as she whined, hearing her Mom's voice but not being in her arms. "Oh, baby girl!" She cooed, kissing her head, soothing her and it made her feel complete to be with her children - to have Noah cuddled up beside her and Dylan cradled in her arms. "Did your Mom run out of bottles?"

"Yeah, but she doesn't seem hungry or anything yet - you'll be able to nap for an hour or two before she demands your attention," DJ said with a smile and Kath smiled back at him.

"Mommy, are you feeling better now?" Noah asked and Kath nodded her head.

"I'm feeling much better, monster, I just need some sleep."

"Let's leave Mommy to rest then, Noah. Give her and Dylan kisses." DJ encouraged and Noah did as he was told, giving his sister a kiss and then hugging and kissing his Mom.

"I'll call you before you go to bed, baby," Kath promised and Noah nodded his head, hugging her again before watching DJ give her a hug goodbye and they left Kath and Dylan alone.

It was still strange for Noah to leave his Mom and sister behind, he was desperate to have his Mom move back home. No matter what happened, he would always have hope that he'd have his family together again.
