Max used his own car to drive Kath and Noah around, saving them from cabs and Noah could use his own car seat without there being an issue. Even though Kath was getting tired from walking around so much and she was getting increasingly uncomfortable, they still stopped off at a grocery store on the way home to get some supplies for Dylan.

"Does she have clothes?" Noah asked, helping out by setting baby wipes into the cart where Max had already set a box of diapers. They weren't getting too much, not knowing her true size until she was born but they didn't want Kath to go into labor and for them to not have any supplies at all.

"Yeah, monster, we got her a few clothes. Not too many, though, so when she's here we can all go out and you can help decide what she'd like to wear." Kath said, running her fingers through his hair as she tried to think what else they'd need but she gave Max a thankful look when he grabbed some cream to go with the diaper changing supplies they had. "I knew I was forgetting something." She said and Max chuckled.

"Pregnancy brain." He teased. "You need anything else? For dinner or anything?"

"No, I don't think so... DJ usually does it after work now anyway." Kath said, biting her lip as she tried to think and they made their way up and down the aisles, picking a few things out but the cart was barely full by the time they were done and even Noah could tell that Kath was getting uncomfortable by the time they were waiting in line to buy their items that were mostly for Dylan, but Kath had gotten Noah a few things too - treats, because he truly had been amazing for the past couple of months when there were so many changes going on.

Once they had paid for everything, Max drove them both home and helped bring the bags inside before he left them alone, giving Noah a high-five and Kath a hug and a kiss before going home.

"Okay, little man, let's head upstairs and you can put Dylan's book in her room," Kath said with a smile, the two of them heading up the stairs together holding hands, and Noah led the way into the room that had been steadily decorated since they moved in to be Dylan's nursery. The walls were a pale yellow and the curtains were thick so that when she was sleeping it would always be dark. The furniture was white and light in color, an armchair and matching footstool by the crib so Kath could nurse Dylan or DJ could sit and spend some alone time with her in comfort and peace. The white shelves were mostly empty, but they planned to fill those with books and toys as she grew up and to decorate the walls with family pictures. She had a few clothes in the closet and a couple of stuffed toys on the shelves, but other than that, the room was bare - it was ready for Dylan. They even had the two bassinettes set up already, one for DJ and Kath's bedroom and the other in the living room so she could nap downstairs.

"Can I put it on her shelf?" Noah asked, excited and Kath smiled, nodding her head.

"Yeah, monster! Just this one time, you can stand on the chair and do it because Mommy can't lift you up." Kath said and Noah giggled, standing up on the armchair but Kath had her hand on his back to support him and they both grinned as he put the book on the shelf - Dylan's first book. Noah then climbed down from the chair and Kath sat in it, Noah sitting on the footstool so they were facing each other. "Honey, I know it's all really exciting that Dylan is so close to coming... but I want you to know that things are gonna change a lot too. Dylan is gonna be so tiny that she's gonna need a lot of attention and Mommy is gonna be really tired and so is Daddy, but that doesn't mean you can't come and talk to us. We'll do things as a family still and we'll spend some alone time with you too, it just might take some time for us to find a routine that works for everybody... but you can always talk to us, honey, okay? Always." Kath said and Noah nodded his head.

"But I'm gonna be a good big brother," Noah said and Kath smiled, kissing his head.

"Yeah, you are. You're gonna be the best big brother ever." Kath promised, making him giggle.

"Mommy, we left my new clothes downstairs!" He exclaimed and Kath groaned, using the arm of the chair to help her stand up.

"Stay here then, monster, I'll go get them. Mommy knew she forgot something!" She exclaimed dramatically, making him giggle but he followed her out to the landing and he watched as she headed down the stairs carefully.

But his smile dropped as his world came crashing down around him, watching as Kath slipped halfway down the stairs - unable to see her feet.

Kath fell down the rest of the stairs, landing on the hallway floor by the front door.

She was unconscious.
