Chapter 105 (Finale)

"You might have to take things slowly with Chloe, okay? She's bound to be a little scared." Kath said, holding Noah's hand and DJ was walking beside her pushing the stroller, Dylan wide awake and babbling to herself.

"Okay, Mommy," Noah said. It had been a couple of months since Dylan's birthday and Kath's bump was starting to become more noticeable as she reached her fifth month of pregnancy - they were planning on keeping the gender a surprise. They already had a son and a daughter, they were overjoyed no matter what the gender of the baby was. Dylan squealed at the sight of Liza, reaching for her and making her family laugh and Liza smiled, leaning down and kissing Dylan on the cheek and then hugging DJ, leaving him free to get Dylan out of the stroller and she greeted Kath and Noah.

"Are you shitting yourself as much as me?" Liza whispered to Kath, who laughed.

"Very much so." She admitted and Liza gripped onto her arm.

"Thank shit." She whispered, making Kath laugh softly and she pulled away from her best friend and turned her attention to the little girl who was stood just behind her, looking shy but her eyes widened when Liza stepped aside and she saw her friends for the first time. "Chloe, sweetie, these are my friends. Noah and baby Dylan, and their Mommy and Daddy, DJ and Kath." Liza introduced.

"I like your music," Chloe admitted, her eyes on Kath and Liza grinned as Kath did.

"Aw, sweetie, thank you... is Liza being good to you? Because I can kick her butt if I have to." Kath said teasingly, making Chloe giggle shyly and she nodded her head. She'd had meetups with Liza, Enrique, and Alex before spending the night. Chloe had been fully moved in with Liza at her house for three weeks and things seemed to be going well, they finally felt ready to introduce her to the rest of the family but they decided to introduce her to Kath, DJ, and the kids first because she could play with the kids - they had no idea she'd even heard of Kath before.

"I like my room." Chloe practically whispered and Liza smiled, tucking a lock of her light blonde hair behind her ear. The love she had for Chloe was obvious, even though she was incredibly quiet and still very scared.

"Do you want to come and play with me over there? We can go to the sandbox, then Dylan can come!" Noah offered and Chloe looked up to Liza.

"Go ahead, sweetie, I'll be right here with Kath and DJ, okay? You'll be able to see me - I'll send Alex over when he comes back with Enrique." Liza promised and Chloe looked back to Noah, nodding her head shyly and DJ set Dylan down, letting Noah take her hand and the three kids took off together towards the sandbox.

"She's so cute." Kath cooed, making Liza laugh and the three adults all sat around a picnic table together, the girls facing the play area so they could keep an eye on the children, DJ sitting with his back to them but he had the stroller next to him so Dylan could have a nap later on.

"Is everything going okay, then?" DJ asked and Liza nodded her head.

"She doesn't speak all that much, but she's getting better... she has nightmares, though, the woman at the group home told me she had an incident with the foster family she had before me - they used to spank her to discipline her, so... she was terrified around us at first, especially Enrique because he's quite muscular, but she warmed up to him right away and she's opening up to us a lot more, she plays with Alex... she's my daughter and I love her." Liza smiled, hugging Kath back as she hugged her sideways.

"I'm beyond happy for you," Kath said and Liza grinned, standing up as Enrique came over, kissing her lips and he set a couple of paper bags in the middle of the table.

"Mommy, where's Chloe?" Alex asked and Liza pointed towards the sandbox where Noah and Chloe were playing with Dylan, Noah making sure his sister was safe.

"Go join them, baby, Chloe was asking about you." Liza encouraged and he ran off towards the sandbox, the adults all smiling as the little boy screamed her name before jumping on her in the sandbox and knocking her over but they could hear the kids all laughing together and Dylan tried to copy her and do it to Noah, who pretended to be knocked over just to make his sister laugh.

"He called you 'Mommy'." DJ grinned.

"Don't, I'll cry. He started last week and we just... didn't correct him." Liza said and Enrique grinned.

"You're legally his Mom now, why correct him?" Enrique said and DJ grinned at Kath, silently encouraging her to speak.

"We decided to follow your lead." Kath breathed.

"Our lead?"

"We just got the paperwork to come through - Kath is legally Noah's Mom, Jasmine signed him over without a single argument. We're gonna tell the kids at dinner." DJ grinned, unable to contain his excitement and they all congratulated each other - they had so much to celebrate together, as a family.
