140 - We Are Team Blaze

Ar Blaze - POV;

"Ahh, fresh air. It feels so good to just sit back and stretch in the company of a cool breeze!" I exclaimed as I stood on the edge of the roof of one of Fenix's tallest buildings and looked out to the cityscape below.

"Ha ha, you sound like an old man," a young girl teased me where she sat, swinging her legs freely off the side of the building.

"Beats being an annoying little brat like someone I know," I snickered, poking her a bit forcefully on the forehead.

"Owww," she moaned holding her head, "Hey! I'm already sixteen you know!"

The girl, three years my junior had become a friend of mine since childhood and she now stood as a member of Team Blaze. She was quite an eccentric girl with too much personality and a single look at her made that quite obvious. Though much of her pure white hair was tied and styled neatly at the back, she often styled the front a bit messily. Not to mention the long tufts of hair on either side of her head which flowed down infront of her body and stretched all the way to her ankles. She even curled and dyed their ends red, citing that it was an important part of her popstar appearance. She'd always spoken about her dreams to become a global singing star and this led her to often dress the part... or at least what she thought the part would look like with her tall, knee-high boots and heels along with a short, frilly skirt and a fluffy, pink muffler. Despite all that however, she did have a sweet singing voice and the guys of the clan often fought tooth and nail for the chance to hear her back at home. Her name, Poppy, represented her perfectly: a perfect balance of cute and weird.

"Sixteen? Aww, our little girl is all grown! Wait... does that also mean your A-cuos will never grow again since youre already mature?!" I faked shock and horror.

Tears welled up in her bright, red eyes and she began to cry, "Lauraaaaaaaaaa! He's being mean!"

Laura was the third member of our team and currently she sat on top of a stack of cinder blocks as she carefully painted her nails with delicate, intricate patterns. She maintained an almost noble appearance with her long white hair brushed and styled simply but neatly and her beautiful plain dresses which fit nicely on her smooth, fair skin. She raised her blue eyes towards the girl and sighed, "But he's right isn't he?"

Laura propped up her B-cup breasts slightly as she continued, "You're just a little girl. When you're nineteen like I am, then you'll understand the woes of a woman."

"Waaaaaaaaah, I hate you both!" Poppy wailed.

"Oh, just put a sock in it already, Poppy!" a dark skinned male groaned from where he lay on top of the group of cube-shaped water tanks. His short, white hair had been swept back from the front to the rear and his eyebrows seemed to be in a permanent frown.

"I don't wanna hear you Lennox, you old fart!" Poppy cried.

"Tch! I'm only twenty one you snob," he hissed. Lennox had been something like an elder brother to the rest of us ever since we could remember and he was the fourth member of our team. He tended to wear suits, despite their impracticality in many situations. Something about keeping up appearances?

"Come on everyone. We shouldn't be quarreling like this with each other. We are all precious friends after all," another guys said in almost a whisper from where he stood watching us all.

"You're the only one who gets me Seth!" Poppy squeaked. Seth was the final member of our team as well as our friend circle. We only came to be introduced to him when he was forced into a group project with us in middle school and he's stuck around ever since to his current age of eighteen. Seth was... unique... okay, he was a complete emo. He often thick, black eyeliner and dressed head to toe in dark colours. His tall, skinny, lanky physique along with his long, painted, black nails had earned him the nickname 'snake' from bullies during his earlier school years. A beating from Lennox and I made the bullies run home crying and, needless to say, they stopped bothering him but Seth ran with it. He grew out his white hair so that it covered half of his face and declared that he was the 'Viper' and he had to use his all to hold in the evil powers of the 'Mad Cobra' stored in his hidden left eye. Ignoring his... um... tendencies, he was generally a quiet and calm individual and even with us, he barely spoke.

"Ugh, if that's how you feel, then why don't you go suck him off in the corner or something? Anything to plug your annoying mouth," Lennox grunted.

"Ewwwwwww! That's super gross!" Poppy shouted jumping up and down on the roof and stomping her feet as she did.

"Seriously, Poppy, I'm this close to kicking you off the edge as well," Laura said, not pulling her attention away from her nails.

"Alright guys, she's just a kid. Give her a break will you?" I came to her defence, placing my hand on her head.

Her eyes welled up again and she stooped down in the corner whimpering, "I hate all of you! You just treat me like a baby!"

"Wait, Poppy... You're *not* a baby?" I teased.

"I hope all of you trip and die!" she fumed, much to my amusement.

"Anyway leader," Lennox called out as he hopped down from where he lay, "Should we really be wasting time around here?"

"Eh? Call me that again," I said with a mischievous smile.

"Can it, nitwit," he said angrily, "Tch. You're the one that the boss chose as the leader. I believe you're capable and I respect your position so don't make me regret it!"

"But seriously, the semi-finals are only a week away. Shouldn't we be training and getting ready for it?" Laura questioned.

I thought for a second before answering, "I guess we might as well... although we are already leagues above the rest. I don't know why Duran wastes his time worrying that Zephyr can beat us. They're weak. Oh, mentioning Zephyr, there is something I have to do before we train. I have something to film amd deliver to them. Wait until they see what has become of their little friend, Nero Mendax!"
