Turn 24 - Birds and mages part 2/last round part 1

casey and Rebecca continued their duel. both duellists seemed to be keeping a fairly equal duel so far however Rebecca was about to bring out a new monster...and this monster seemed to be one that could put this entire duel into overdrive.

Turn 5(rebecca/continued)

Rebecca looked at her field with a smirk. "I tribute my birdface as it's a wind monster so I can summon This! Fenix the storming Griffin!" Rebecca slammed the card on her duel disk and then in a violent whirlwind appeared a large dark bird, it had a massive beak and let out a loud and ear piercing cry. (Fenix of the storm - LV8/ATK2500/DEF2400)

"That's a real big bird..." hideo muttered.

Izuna was watching the duel with wide eyes. "Gee ya think!?"

"Now due to this duel field and my harpie lady 1's effects fenix gains 500 attack!" Fenix roared loudly as it's power increased. (Fenix of the storm ATK 2500 - 3000) "Now I use the field spells effect! I send my harpies pet Dragon to the graveyard so I can destroy your middle face down!" Harpies pet Dragon vanished into thin air and then Casey's middle card exploded.

"Tch..you got my mirror force card..." Casey muttered.

"That would have really saved Casey's ass then..." hideo muttered.

Yushida watched the duel. He was really interested in how this would go.

"Fenix! Attack her directly! Storm breath!" Fenix unleashed a mighty breath attack at Casey, this wind was extremely loud and even ear piercing.

"I activate my trap...negate attack!" a small barrier appeared between casey and the winds generated by Fenix storm breath, it blocked the attack from touching her. "This not only negates your attack but ends your battle phase!"

Rebecca looks at casey and then smirks and set a card. "I end my turn."

Turn 6(casey)

Casey sent the top 2 cards of her deck to the graveyard, these cards were call of the haunted and rush recklessly. "I draw!" casey drew her 2 cards now holding 4 cards in hand. "first i'll play the spell card ancient rules to summon trance the magic swordsman!" before casey appeared a man wearing light blue armour with blonde hair and wielding a large pale blue sword. (Trance the magic swordsman - LV6/ATK2600/DEF200)

Rebecca looked at trance with a slight glare.

"Now i'll have him attack your harpie lady 1 go magical greatsword!" trance charged at Rebecca's harpie lady 1 and with a single powerful slash he cut through the mighty monster. (Rebecca LP 2700 - 1900) "and lets not forget now your monster loses 300 attack." (Fenix of the storm ATK 3000 - 2700)

"whoa...casey is pushing Rebecca back pretty hard." Hideo stated.

"that may be...but Rebecca isn't a rookie...you know this from your duel with her. "robby added.

Casey set another card facedown and end my turn.

Turn 7 (Rebecca)

Rebecca sent the top 2 cards of her deck to the graveyard. They were birdface and elegant egotist. "Draw!" she drew her 2 cards, these were her only cards. "first i'll summon twin-headed behemoth!" before Rebecca appeared a small dragon which was purple in colour and had 2 heads. one head had only a single horn on its head while the other had twin horns. (Twin-headed behemoth - LV3/ATK1500/DEF1200) (Twin headed behemoth ATK 1500 - 1700/DEF1200 - 1400) "now i'll attack...but i'll use my facedown card anti-magic arrows!" several arrows fell from the sky and pierced all of casey's facedown cards.
