Turn 35 - The Challengers Gift

Yushida and Pegasus duel continued. Both were somewhat low on life points but now Pegasus field was open for a direct attack from yushida...however it was still Pegasus turn.

Maximillion Pegasus(1100LP)

Turn 9(pegasus/continued)

Pegasus looked at his field. Other than his 2 set cards he had nothing on field...but his hand was a different story. "First I'm going to set this card face down." Pegasus set another card in his spell and trap zone. "Now I'll give things over to you yushida." Pegasus smirked.

Turn 10(yushida)

Yushida drew his card, holding only this in hand, looking at the cards he had on his field he then began to look at Pegasus. "I dunno about you but I wouldn't be so confident in your position!" Yushida stated. "Now summoned skull attack his face down monster!" Summoned skull roared as it called forth numerous bolts of lightning. The bolts struck the face down card. The creature from the card seemed to be a light brown furry thing almost the same shape as a kuriboh but with 3 large eyes and green limbs with dark sharp nails on each. (Sangan - LV3/ATK1000/DEF600)

"Well thank you for destroying my dear sangan yushida boy. Now because of his sacrifice I get to add any monster from my deck to my hand." Pegasus chuckled lightly as he took his deck to search it. "As long as that monster has an attack strength of 1500 or lower." Pegasus looked through his deck as his eye widened and he gave an almost devious laugh. " I'm going to pick an old favourite. One of my mightiest beasts! Relinquished!" Pegasus revealed the card just before putting it into his hand, now holding 2 cards in hand.

"Relinquished!? That's one of the most powerful monsters in the game!" Hideo exclaimed.

"Don't worry...unless Pegasus has not only the ritual spell but a sacrifice for it he can't summon it." Casey stated looking down at the arena.

Pegasus chuckled to himself looking at his hand before looking over to yushida and smiling. "Feel free to continue your turn my boy."

"Alright then! I'll have my breaker the magical warrior attack you!" As Yushida spoke his breaker dashed at Pegasus and with a single swing of his blade he was about to seemingly end this duel.

"Too bad I have these. I activate my face down trap card sakaratsu armour!" Pegasus face down card flipped face up as a suit of living armour appeared and stopped breakers attack. "Now not only us the mighty breaker the magical warrior attack stopped but he is also destroyed!" Pegasus exclaimed as the armour then struck back with a hard punch which caused breaker to explode. "Feel free to try again Yushida boy."

Yushida growled as he looked at dark blade. "I'll have dark blade attack directly this time!" Dark blade charged at Pegasus as he dragged both blades across the floor and was about to strike Pegasus.

"I activate the effect of my next trap card battle break!" Pegasus flipped his trap card face up. "Its quite simple really...you can reveal a monster in your hand to negate this trap cards effect...otherwise it's destroyed and I end the battle phase!"

Yushida looked at his hand but then he shook his head from side to side as his monster was then destroyed. "Looks like I gotta set this and end my turn." Yushida set his card and sighed.

Turn 11(Pegasus)

"i draw!" pegasus drew his card, now holding 3 cards in hand. "Now my dear yushida boy i am going to activate the ritual spell black illusion ritual!" Pegasus last face down card flipped face up and a large urn like object appeared on the field.
