Turn 46 - Ascension of Red-Eyes

Yushidas duel with Wang was harsh...Wang had the advantage and Yushida was almost out of life points...but now came the moment of truth...This last turn was going to decide the outcome of this duel either way.

Yushida put his fingers to the top of his deck and sighed quietly. "This is it...This turns going to decide the duel...now here goes!" Yushida was about to draw his card as the faint dark aura around him began to channel into his hand and the top card of his deck, his eyes widening seeing this. "I...I Draw!" Yushida drew his card, looking at the card with a shocked expression as small wisps of dark energy flowed from it.

"What's going on?" Wang looked at Yushids in confusion as he saw the darkness from him eroding the barrier. "No...this strange darkness...its overwhelming the barrier!"

Hideki was looking in from outside seeing what was happening. Remembering back to his duel with Yushida. "That aura...its like back then..."

Yushida looked at his card with shock and awe as he finally placed it on his duel disk. "I activate the ascension magic - Red-Eyes soul!"

"What? An ascension magic??" Wang cried out in shock.

"Now I'll be tributing my red-eyes black dragon in order to summon a Red-eyes monster that's 1 level higher!" Yushida exclaimed as his Red-eyes began to shroud itself in darkness and change. "Dark dragon...evolve beyond your limitations and awaken your new destructive power!" Yushida held his hand in the air as a new card appeared in his hand. "Appear...Red-Eyes Shadow dragon!" Yushidas Red-eyes black dragon was transformed within the darkness and emerged from within in s new form. Its wings were longer, its body covered in accents similar to Red-Eyes darkness dragon only blue instead of red and its body exuded a dark aura filled with black and blue sparks of electric. The new dragon let out a loud roar that shook the duel field. (Red-eyes Shadow Dragon - LV8/ATK3000/DEF2500)

"That dragon..." Wang gritted his teeth in shock then glared at Yushida. "Impressive display...but my monsters attack is still higher! And you have no other cards in your hand or on the field!"

"That may be true...but I have my new dragons effect!" Yushida put his finger to the top of the deck. I get to check the top 5 cards of my deck! And for every red-eyes card I find my red-eyes shadow dragon gains 500 attack! Now I draw!" Yushida took the top 5 cards of his deck and slowly turned them looking at them. His cards in the following order were Red-Eyes wyvern, Aura armor, red-eyes baby dragon, transaction roll back and Red-eyes black flare magician. "I found 3 red-eyed cards! Now my monster gains 1500 attack!" Red-Eyes shadow dragon roared loudly as it began to glow with a dark blue aura. (Red-Eyes Shadiw dragon ATK 3000 - 4500)

"NO THIS CAN'T BE!" Wang cried out in shock and anger.

"Oh yes it can be!" Yushida said in return. "Red-eyes shadow dragon...attack his bael avatar and end this duel! Shadow flare!" Red-Eyes shadow dragon roared once more as darkness began to surge from its mouth and fired as a concentrated stream of dark energy, this dark energy engulfed Bael avatar.

Wang looked up with wide eyes as the beam struck his monster and then headed towards him. "NOOOOOOO!!!!" He screamed as the attack engulfed his field and him too, destroying the energy barrier around them as well. (Wang LP 750 - 0)

Hideki looked up in shock as the barrier crumbled around Yushida and Wang, seeing Red-Eyes shadow dragon fade away too. "That monster...how did you..." Hideki stared up in awe and even fear at the site before his eyes.
