Elena, Caroline, and I stand in the middle of the woods. Stefan texted us and told us to meet here. Why? I have no idea.

A branch snaps loudly behind us and I whip my head around, meeting the bright blue eyes of Matt.

"Hey, what's with the cryptic secret meeting text?" Matt asks with confusion, knitting his thin eyebrows together.

"I don't know. Stefan just said to meet here," Elena shrugs her shoulders.

"Where's Bonnie? Texted her, too," Stefan asks, walking over to us with Damon by his side. I glance into Damon's eyes and quickly avert my eyes away from him.

"Uh, Bonnie's mom bailed on her, again so I think we should leave out of this one," Caroline sighs out, a frown painted on her face.

"What are we doing here?" Matt speaks up, stepping forward with interest.

"Found some more white oak. Long story. Wait for movie," Damon comments sarcastically and I roll my eyes with annoyance.

"Hold on. White oak? You have a weapon that kill Klaus?" Elena asks, her jaw dropping open.

"No, we all have a weapon," Stefan announces, dropping a bag full of white oak stakes on the ground. It clatters quietly and my eyes widen with surprise.

"Whoa," I mumble underneath my breath.

"Klaus has always been one step ahead of us, but now we have the advantage. We're all armed, and they are all linked meaning we only need to kill one of them. We need to seize the best opportunity, which means we need to prepare for every opportunity," Stefan announces and I nod my head.

"No last minute attacks of pity for any of them," Damon scoffs out, glancing over at my sister with judgey eyes.

"Don't worry about me. Not after what happened to Bonnie's mom," Elena states with a determined tone.

"Barbie?" Damon asks, turning towards Caroline and she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Oh, I'm ready. Anything that will free Tyler of his sire bond to Klaus," Caroline speaks with a perky voice.

"Bus boy?" Damon asks with a harsher tone.

"Do I have a choice?" Matt sighs out.

"Girlfriend?" Damon asks and I shoot him a harsh glare. I nod my head willingly and he grins widely.

"Ok, good. Nobody waste an opportunity," Stefan demands, before walking off with Damon and I cock my head to the side.

I step inside the Salvatore house to find two dead vampires on the ground and I furrow my eyebrows with confusion.

"So, Troy and Sage die within an hour of Finn," Caroline announces, chewing on her fingernails nervously.

"But why?" Elena asks with confusion.

"Maybe Sage was so in love with Finn...she just died of sadness," Caroline tries to explain, glancing down at Sage's dead body.

"No, that doesn't explain Troy," I shake my head with denial.

"It's the blood. The bloodline. It has to be. Finn turned Sage, Sage turned Troy. They're all a part of the same bloodline that originated with Finn," Stefan speaks up eagerly and my eyes widen.

"Wait, so, when an Original dies every vampire turned from their bloodline dies along with them? Because that would mean..." Caroline starts to explain as her jaw drops open.

"If the Originals die...so would you. The entire vampire species would just be dead," Elena mumbles out and my stomach twists into uneasy knots.

"Where's Damon?" I ask with concern and Stefan's eyes flicker over to me.

"Rebekah has him. I'll be back," Stefan reassures me, before whooshing out of the house and I gulp with worry.

I sink down on the couch, running my hands over my face. Suddenly the cold wind slaps against my skin and I pull my hands away from my face. I leap up from the couch at the sight of Damon leaning against Stefan, his shirt torn open and bloody marks across his chest.

"God, what the hell happened?" I ask with concern, grabbing onto Damon's other arm and helping him onto the couch.

"I tried to exchange the stakes for Damon's life, but Rebekah drained him of the vervain he's been taking. We have to get the other three stakes to Klaus," Stefan informs me with a worried voice and I nod my head.

"Great," I groan out with annoyance, my eyes trailing over Damon's chest.

"Did I mention I liked what you did with your hair?" Damon groans out, clenching his jaw and gritting his teeth. I raise an eyebrow with surprise and I wrap my fingers around his jaw, tightly.

I slowly bring his face towards mine and I grimace. "Do you ever think before you act?" I scoff out, digging my fingers into his soft skin. He presses his lips together and shrugs his shoulders.

"I was having fun," he comments, letting out a tiny chuckle.

"Like hell you were," I comment, shoving his face to the side and I roll my eyes with annoyance.

Damon Salvatore...stupid as always.
