I storm inside the Gilbert kitchen and see Damon and Stefan surrounding the table where Bonnie is sitting down with a cloth pressed to her neck. Blood covers the cloth and my heart pounds against my chest.
"Bonnie! Are you okay?" I rush up to her with concern and she gulps, nodding her head.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but we've got bigger problems," Bonnie explains, glancing over at Damon and I let out a deep sigh.
"I found the witch in the old cemetery where Alaric once was, but he seems to be missing and oh, Bonnie had some blood dripping down her neck. He turned," Damon announces with a firm tone and my jaw drops open.
"What do you mean he turned? I thought you were standing guard," Stefan raises his voice with anger and worry.
"Don't blame me! Blame Bonnie the blood bank. She fed him," Damon retorts, furrowing his thick eyebrows.
"I had no idea what was happening. The witches led me there. They wanted him to feed so he'd turned," Bonnie explains with a confused tone.
"Where's the stake?" I speak with concern.
"Oh, you mean the white oak one? That one that can kill an Original and wipe out an entire line of vampires. We don't know," Damon crosses his arms over his chest with a rude tone.
"If you are so upset with me, why did you feed me your blood to save my life?" Bonnie questions him through gritted teeth, glaring into his eyes.
"Because I do stupid things, Bonnie. I do things like let my friend dig with dignity when I should have just killed him," Damon retorts harshly, walking away from the witch.
"All right, so how do we kill him now?" Stefan asks with frustration, running his hand over his face.
"I've been trying to figure that out. A witch can't truly make an immortal creature. There's always a way to undo a spell."
"So? What's the witchy workaround?" Damon asks, leaning over the table with interest.
"That's the problem. I don't know," Bonnie announces with unsureness and I lower my head with concern.
"We need to figure out how to put Alaric down once and for all. What about the desiccation spell that was used on Mikael? It put him in that tomb for over 1,000 years," I explain and Bonnie's eyes widen as she leaps up from the chair.
"That might work, but I'm going to need help. I need to contact Abby," Bonnie announces and I snap my head towards her. Stefan knits his eyebrows together and I gulp.
"Are you sure? Will she even come?" Stefan asks and Bonnie shrugs her shoulder.
"It's worth a try," she reassures us, walking into the other room to call her mother. I step outside the Gilbert house and my phone starts to ring loudly. My eyes widen as my eyes scan over Alaric's name and a painful lump forms in my throat.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask through gritted teeth, squeezing the sides of my phone.
"Come to the high school in about 10 minutes. I have Elena and Caroline," Alaric demands with a harsh tone.
"You're lying," I retort harshly and he chuckles lightly.
"Am I?" he asks, before hanging up the phone. My eyes dart around nervously, and I let out a tiny groan of anger, rushing over to my car.
I walk inside the dimly lit high school and I peer around the dark hallway. Suddenly, a strong force lifts me up into the air and slams me against the lockers. A loud whimper escapes my lips and pain shoots up through my back.
My eyes lock onto Alaric's and he wraps his hand around my throat, lifting me onto my feet. I grit my teeth and his fingers dig into my skin.
"I should kill you," Alaric threatens and the tears well up in my eyes. I stare into his dark eyes and cock an eyebrow, challenging him.
Suddenly Klaus tackles Alaric to the ground and I gasp loudly. "Run now!" Klaus demands and I gulp, sprinting out of the high school.
I return home to find Stefan and Damon talking on the porch. Stefan shoots me a weak smile and I return the favor.
"Elena's fine, she lost a lot of blood though. We're finally rid of Klaus. We're going to dump Klaus far away," Stefan explains, crossing his arms over his chest.
"The Atlantic ocean?" I suggest and Stefan lets out a tiny chuckle, nodding his head.
"Sure, Sam," he mumbles out, heading down the porch.
"Hey," I call out, walking over to Damon. He shoots me a tiny grin, his eyes locking onto mine and wraps an arm around my shoulder, pulling me in.
"I promise not to get lost in the ocean," Damon teases and I roll my eyes with annoyance, wrapping my arms around his torso.
"Hm, I'm counting on it," I mumble out, resting my head against his chest. His fingers gently run through my hair and I close my eyes, relaxing in the moment.
