I went to see a movie with my new friends Ponyboy and Johnny, I'd recently moved in with my dad in Tulsa, who was a friend of the Curtis parents and had introduced me to their sons, I'm a year older than Johnny and of course I'm a greaser as well. The three of us were enjoying the movie when suddenly someone behind us had snuck up and scared us all out of our wits. Ponyboy introduces him to me as "Two-Bit" I said hi and he gave a polite grin and asked me
"What's a good lookin girl like you doing hanging out with these greasers any how?"
I laughed at his remark and told him I was new and our parents knew each other. We had talked through the whole movie and when we left he asked for my number I gave it to him and watched him run home with a grin on his face and my number in his hand.
