Lisa POV
*Ding Dong*
The door bell rang. Its only 10 in the morning I wondered which of my friends it could be. They said they’d only arrive at about lunch time and right now its way too early for lunch. Except maybe for Irene. Its never too early for a meal with that girl.
‘Wendy-ah don’t worry I’ll get the door’ I call out to inform Wendy of my intentions.
As I open the door everything happens in a blur. I see Jennie and the next second I’m in a warm embrace. The only things that kept me from believing I was in a dream was the brunette hair that veils my eyes, the uniquely Jennie scent that engulfs me and the reality of her body pressed infinitely close to mine.
‘Jennie…” I say as more of a response than anything else.
‘I missed you so much Lisa-yah..’ she replies hugging me tighter.
In my half stunned state I only know that I miss how this feels. I miss being in her arms. My heart aches for her and I hold her tighter as well. I can’t breath for the life of me but not seeing her for the last 2 months has been unbearable. I may have been trying to sort things out in my head but my heart hurt for every minute I was not in Seoul.
Minutes after opening the door we’re still in the same positions. ‘Lisa, is everything ok? Oh.. sorry for intruding. You must be Jennie. Hello, I’m Son Seungwan, but you can call me Wendy. Lisa has told me so much about you. Would you like me to get you a drink?’ asks Wendy.
Jennie doesn’t say anything. I suppose she’s still unwilling to let go of me but I feel her nod her head in response.
‘Alright. How about some chocolate milk?’ says Wendy.
‘Yah Lisa what have you told her? How come she knows about chocolate milk? Isn't that your favorite not mine?’ she questions me as she releases me from her embrace and smacks me on my shoulder.
‘oh c'mon, we both know you love chocolate milk the same as I am. Isn’t that the first thing people should know about you?’ I reply jokingly. ‘Come here and sit with me.’ I tell her as I move to sit on the couch in the living room still holding her hand.
‘Nini, how have you been? You’ve lost so much weight. Is it because of me? There’s no one to cook for you is there? I’m sorry I should have called or something shouldn’t I? I’ve been a horrible girlfriend. I suck. What do you wanna eat? I can cook something right now?’
I just keep talking, trying to assuage the nerves in me. I’m not sure how to react right now and seeing Jennie all calm and smiling after so long it’s unnerving. I was expecting her to yell at me and physically abuse me for not keeping in contact with her.
She just shakes her head slightly before leaning in for a kiss and then holding me in her embrace again. ‘Lets just stay like this for awhile ok?’ she asks.
‘Ok Nini, Whatever you want.’ We go back to holding each other just simply being content being in each other’s arms again.
Whatever else we need to sort out or talk about we can do it later.
*Ding Dong* the door bell rings again.
Wendy appears with the glasses of chocolate milk, which she places on the table before us.
‘Thank you” I whisper careful not to affect my moment with Jennie.
‘It’s no problem, I’ll go get the door’ she answers before heading to do just that.
Seconds after the door opens I see Chaeyoung at the door. ‘Hi, is Lisa Manoban here? I’m looking for her.’
‘Er she’s here. You want to come in?’ replies Wendy.
