Jennie POV

As I step into apartment, I see Lisa sitting on a chair in the centre of the living room. She’s wearing a black fedora, a tight white T-shirt and blue jeans with sneakers. In her hands is a guitar. I didn’t know she could play the guitar. She’s surrounded by tealights that act as the only source of lighting in the room. It gives of a soft warm glow. I must admit that this is a sight to behold. Lisa looks absolutely breathtaking even though she’s dressed so casually. Her presence commands my attention. I want to but I hesitate to approach her.

I continue to stand by the door and she’s just grinning at me. There’s a tenderness in her eyes that I haven’t seen before. I know I’m melting and my resolve is weakening and I can’t help it. It’s her. The love of my life and she’s right there.

‘Hi sweetheart,’ she says ‘you look beautiful tonight. I’m sorry if I don’t do this right, I’ve never done anything like this before and I’m really nervous. But here goes. *Ahem* Baby, it took me a really long time to let go of my past. But I have. No more skeletons in the closet. In fact there’s no more closet. It’s just you now. With that she starts to strum on the guitar. She’s concentrating really hard on this and I can see her determination to get this done right. I can’t help but be touched at the amount of effort she’s put into this. As she starts to sing, she looks only at me and
