Wendy POV

‘Lisa-yah, are you sure you’re ok to be alone on the bus back to Seoul? Do you want me to pack some fruits for you? Or maybe a healthy smoothie or something? Why don’t you stay till this coming Saturday? Chanyeol and I can drive you to Seoul.’ I tell Lisa as she packs the last of her belongings.

I really don’t think she should be going anywhere right now.. not after what happened 2 nights ago but I can’t possibly make her stay. She seems determined to go back to Seoul to win Jennie back. Who am I to stand in the way of her love?

When Seulgi and Joy brought her back in the early morning she look exhausted and broken but at least she wasn’t acting crazy or passed out from drinking. That’s a good thing considering how she was trying to fight with Joy and crying and all. She really had me scared. Thank heavens for Chanyeol who stayed over to keep me company and made sure I didn’t go paranoid with worry.

‘Seungwan-ah, I gotta go back.. I have to show Nini that I love her. I have to somehow make her believe that she has to stay with me, that we are meant to be together. If I stay here too long I don’t know if… she may.. I mean she could be going out with other guys right now. I just have to get back as soon as possible.. I know her and she means what she says. If I stay away too long she’ll never take me back.’

‘Lisa, please don’t rush into things… she’s really delicate right now.. I guess I agree with you. You should go back but don’t rush her. I mean if you overdo things it’ll just become a burden on Jennie and she’ll really not want to be with you anymore.. I think you need to be really careful to give her the space she needs.’

‘You really think so? Cos I was planning on showing up at her door with a 100 roses and lots of balloons. I was even thinking of having an advert in the newspaper telling her I’m really sorry, that I love her and that I hope she’ll come back to me or something like that.. too much?’

‘Er.. Possibly, I think so.’ I tell her as I place my hands on her shoulders and look her in the eyes. I really don’t want Lisa to screw things up this time around. It’s good that she’s finally got her heart sorted out.. but she shouldn’t go barging into Jennie’s life again especially after all that drama last night. From what I’ve seen of Jennie there’s a high possibility that she’ll slam the door in Lisa’s face and tell her to get lost. I don’t think Lisa could take that.

I want them to work out.

‘Ok Seungwan, I won’t do it.. I’ll come up with something to show her that she can trust me and depend on me and love me… I’ll think of something..’

‘Yes Lisa.. sometimes it’s the simple everyday things that matter more that the big displays.. but big displays do have a place too.. I’m sure you’ll know what to do. You know Jennie the best.. so do things that she will like, things that will speak to her heart ok? I honestly believe that what she needs now is to learn how much you really do love her and know her. You have to prove to her that she’s the only one and that she can depend and trust you again.’

Lisa pauses in her packing to contemplate my reply. It seems she really did want to go all out and I understand, who wouldn’t? But it seems as if she’s taking my advice to heart and seriously thinking it over. She continues stuffing her clothes into her luggage. ‘Thanks Seungwan-ah, for the advice.. I’ll think about what you said.”

She closes the lid of her luggage and zips it up. ‘There I’m done packing.. is there anything else you need me to do for you? Thank you for having me over all this time and putting up with my nonsense Seungwan-ah. I really appreciate everything. So if you ever need anything… you know I’ll be available right? This isn’t just a one-way friendship.’ she says as she lugs her luggage out to the front door.
