01 | why not a large?

She punched the bag once, then twice, then again and again and again before kicking it so hard that the boxing bag fell off of the rack and leaked its components all over the hard stone floor of the facility's gym.

Athena sighed before using her chaos magic to fling it to the other side of the room. For nearly 8 years she had obtained her powers, and yet she still had to discover how she had them and what happened that day in Athens, Greece. She wasn't telekinetic, but she learned how to use her magic to move certain things — it wasn't strong enough to move a building or a house, the best she could do was a light weight truck. Her powers were mainly destructive rather than creative, with Chaos energy and cosmic blasts. She tried to refrain from using her powers unless it was a world ending situation, she was glad she didn't have to use it against any of her friends. Yet. She knew they were too strong for any of the others to face.

She steadily hovered a new boxing bag over onto the rack but dropped it when she heard someone speak from behind her, emptying all of the beads from inside of it.

"You're getting better."

Athena flipped around and saw no one other than Natasha Romanoff leaning against the doorway with her arms crossed over her chest and her signature smirk on her face.

"Hey, Nat." The blonde girl rolled her eyes playfully as she picked up the empty boxing bag and threw it in the tub before walking over to her towel to dry off the sweat that was dripping from her forehead.

Her and Nat had always been very close, the teen thought of the red head as a sister figure, since she couldn't remember who her actual family was.
Natasha was the closest thing to a family Athena had, she was the first person she saw when she woke up from a 2 day coma and didn't remember anything, she was the only person she trusted for years until she met the avengers, who all became her extended family.

She thought of herself as the child; Tony and Steve as the problematic parents who were bound to get a divorce and Nat and Thor as her older yet still immature siblings. Clint was like her cool uncle that would always bring her gifts and train her and Bruce was the creepy uncle who always tried to get with Natasha.

That's the way she had always imagined it.

"You finished yet?" The red head asked as she walked over to the girl. "Was wondering if I could take you to lunch. Wanda told me about this great deli in Queens the other day, I was figuring we'd try it out."

Athena smiled as she looked from the bag to Nat "sure, as long as you pay."

"With Tony's money" she winked playfully.

"As always" Athena smirked before swinging her gym bag over her shoulder and placing the drink bottle cap in her mouth. "I'll be ready in 20."

Wanda was right, the deli was amazing.

"I still never understood why you and Steve were never a thing" Athena rambled to Natasha who sat in front of her with her dark sunglasses whilst she sipped her hot coffee. "I mean, it's obvious there was always something there. That one time at Sams house was cliche as hell. 'Oh Steve, you saved my life!'" Nat simply rolled her eyes at the girl's impression.
