27 | homecoming pt 2

She ran straight into the Avengers tower where boxes were being led out of the door.

"I'm sorry, miss, you can't be in here." One of the men said as she reached the door.

"I'm basically Tony Stark's daughter," she replied with a raised eyebrow as she tried to push past again but he stopped her.

"I'm sure, sweetheart" the man laughed, "now go on, get gone."

She smirked at the man with a glare in her eyes, the green colour slowly faded into purple. His eyes were wide as he turned to the girl with glowing purple eyes.

The man moved out the way and let the girl walk into the establishment.

Now all she had to do was find Happy. She assumed he'd be at the top due to the plane take off, so she got into the elevator and waited a painful three minutes until she reached the top.

As the doors opened, Athena glanced straight towards Happy who was talking to someone, as he walked away, Happy yelled out, "plane take off in five minutes!"

Athena jogged up to him as she repeatedly said his name. "happy, happy, happy, happy."

He looked at her and immediately shook his head, "oh, no, no. I'm busy, okay. I don't have time for you."

He walked away again with Athena chasing after him, "we just gotta load Tony's old block buster armour, prototype for Caps new shield and the megi— the Meg — the— Thor's magic belt."

"Megingjörð" Athena pronounced perfectly causing Happy to look at her and roll his eyes.

Athena ran up to him again after he was done talking, "Happy, Happy, you just gotta hear me out, the guy—"

"I don't have time for the guy , Athena. My soul focus right now is on this plane take off." Happy said.

"You can't let it take off, Happy!" Athena exclaimed.

"Why not!?" Happy exclaimed back at her.

"Because!" Athena yelled, "otherwise this guy—"

Once again she was cut off by happy saying, "who's this guy!? He doesn't sound all that important to me."

He looked back down at his watch and said, "shit, I don't have time for this." Before walking away again.

A few minutes later after a lot of bickering between Athena and Happy and confusion from the moving men, the plane took off.

Athena was on her knees begging to happy to not take it off but it was too late. She didn't worry though, she knew Peter had the strength to fix it. Obviously, she could bring it back right now with her magic, but she wanted Peter to have this one, no matter how important it was. After what tony did, he deserved a win.

"Yeah, sir, right on course." One of the men said to Happy before packing up his computer and leaving.

"Okay," Happy looked around the empty room. Athena did too, and it reminded her of everything that happened. Loki being defeated, the party that ultron invaded where Steve almost wielded Thor's hammer. It was weird knowing none of it was there anymore.

After hearing a launch in the sky, Athena turned around and looked at the plane that had turned visible and gone off track. "Um, Happy."

All of a sudden it crashed to the ground, grabbing the head of security's attention.

"Come on, let's go."

As they arrived at the scene, Athena walked with Happy and saw the vulture, webbed up against a crater with a note beside him reading 'found flying vulture guy - spider-man'.

Athena looked to Happy with a raised eyebrow, he had a dull expression on his face, one as to say 'I hate you, but I'm sorry'. Athena chuckled before walking off.

Looking around everywhere for Peter, she saw him placed on the top of a roller coaster in his old, crappy spider-man suit with a greasy face and blood running down his nose.

She smiled as she secretly walked over there and boosted herself up with her magic.

She took a seat beside Peter. "You did amazingly, Peter."

A wide smile was spread across her face as his was small, but sweet. His slowly turned to a frown as he looked at her gleaming eyes, he looked down, "I'm sorry, Thea, I really am. I know you just did it to help me."

Athena smiled and grabbed hold of Peters hand, "I was wrong, I shouldn't have done it. You could of handled it, I don't know what I was thinking."

"But you were right," he shook his head, "I couldn't of done it today if it wasn't for you."

Athena furrowed her eyebrows, "what do you mean? I couldn't even persuade Happy to stop the plane launching."

"No," Peter shook his head, "not that. You just gave me hope to finish the fight, just looking at you." Athena looked down at herself, seeing she was still in her homecoming dress and that the ends were completely covered in dirt. "You look absolutely beautiful by the way."

Athena looked to him with a smile, "Well, if i must say, Parker, that onesie looks quite handsome on you."

Peter chuckled before staring into her eyes with a gleam.

Athena smiled before leaning in and placing her lips on his own. Seconds later, they pulled apart and smiled at each other.

"I like you too, Thea."
