Athena was sitting on Peters top bunk bed with her head hanging off the edge whilst fixing the power glove of her suit. She held it up to the light, seeing all the thin wires tony had put in for her.

Peter was throwing a basketball against the wall repeatedly because he had nothing else to do. He looked over at Athena and saw her nearly slipping off the top bunk.

"Watch out" he warned with a chuckle as he walked over to her "you're gonna fall."

"I'm also a superhero" she raised an eyebrow from her upside down position "I don't... fall."

"Really?" The boy smirked as he leaned against the bed beside her head. "You fell for me."

The girl looked over to him and playfully rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to her project.

Peter took it out of the girls hands causing her to groan as he stood in front of her upside down state.

"You're annoying" the girl commented as Peter leaned in and kissed her lips. It was weird since she was upside down and he was the right way up. She always thought that would be the other way around since he was... well- spiderman.

The girl pressed her lips against his before pulling away, staring at his face.

"That was the best kiss we've ever had" Peter joked causing the girl to playfully roll her eyes.

Athena stepped over to the ship, helping Tony out as Nebula followed. Athena's eyes widened when she saw Steve run over and grab Tony's arm. He nodded at her as the girl let go.

Athena looked up and saw the girl who saved her, Rhodes, Pepper and Banner standing there staring at them.

A tear slipped out of the girls eye when Natasha came into view. The only thing that ran through her mind was that she was alive.

Athena smiled before she started to run, pushing past Steve and Tony before engulfing herself in Natasha's arms.

She started to sob as she felt the familiar touch of Natasha once again. "I missed you so much."

Natasha buried her face into the girls blonde hair, "You're alive."

"You're alive." Athena repeated as she pulled out of the hug and staring into the romanoff girl's eyes "and you're hair, Nat! I'm so proud of you."

Athena was the only one who knew what Nats hair meant to her. The lighter her hair got, the cleaner her ledger felt. Natasha always thought she had too much blood on her hands, and her hair was an indicator of that. The darkest it had ever been was when the avengers got recruited together and throughout the years she had been dying it lighter and lighter and lighter.

And this was the lightest it's ever been.

"Guess you're not the only blonde on the team anymore" Nat smirked as a tear slipped her eye before she pulled the girl back into a hug.

"It's been so long" the girl shook her head, "I've missed you so much."

"Too long," Natasha said before pulling out and holding her pinky out. "But, hey. Never apart, right?"
