"Happy birthday to you" Natasha sang as she walked into the girls room with a cupcake and a small wrapped box in her arms. "Happy birthday, dear Athena. Happy birthday to you."

The now-eleven year old girl chuckled as the Widow sat down on her bed and handed her the cupcake.

"Make a wish."

"I wish..." she said aloud before making a mental wish in her head. She wished for Nat to always be in her life. Ever since the blast, she had no one — besides her. Natasha became the sister that she lost, and she was thankful for that.

"What did you wish for?" Natasha asked curiously.

"Just a cat" the girl shrugged before blowing out the candle. she knew if she told them it wouldn't come true.

"I can't wait, here." Natasha excitedly handed the girl her present.

Athena laughed and placed the cupcake down on the bed before unwrapping her gift.

It was a small, velvet box with white letters in the middle saying 'thank you'. Athena raised an eyebrow at Natasha before opening the box and gasping.

"Nat, It's beautiful." Athena said as she observed the jewellery. It was a silver chain circle locket necklace with two words on the front; 'never apart'. She almost cried.

She opened up the locket and saw a picture of the two inside. Athena was only nine at the time, the two had been messing around in headquarters after Athena had stolen Clint's bow and was shooting out of the large window. They stopped to take a selfie of Athena holding up the bow with her eyes squeezed shut and Nat taking the selfie doing a peace sign behind Athena's head.

"I've got one just like it, see." Nat said, showing the girl a golden version of the necklace with the same words on it and the same photo.

The girl smiled as she jumped in Natasha's arms, bringing her into a tight hug. "Thank you so much, Nat. I love you."

"I love you too, Thea."

Athena squeezed the locket shut in her fist as she got out of the back of the van, nudging Scott as she moved past before shutting the door.

"Cap," Clint held his hand out to the captain.

"You know I wouldn't of called if I had any other choice." Steve said, shaking the hawks hand. Steve then looked to Athena and took her into a hug. "Good to see you, Thea."

"You too, Steve." She said before pulling out and standing back beside Clint.

"Hey man, you're doing me a favour" Clint nodded, "besides," he looked back to Wanda, "I owe a dept."

"Thanks for having my back." Steve nodded at Wanda and Athena who he knew would always be on his side.

"It was time to get off my ass." Wanda shrugged.

"How about the other recruit?" Steve asked. Clint walked over to the van and opened the back door.

"After three hours of playing uno, he fell asleep." Athena scoffed as she walked over and pulled open the door "typical."

They all looked at the man who was laying down in the truck.

"What time zone is this?" Scott asked Athena, getting out of the van. The mans eyes instantly went wide when he saw the man standing in front of him. "Captain America."

"Mr Lang," Steve nodded, shaking his hand.

"It's an honour." He said, "I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome. Captain America. I know you too, you're great." Scott looked at Steve once again and put his hands on his biceps "geez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so, thanks for thinking of me."

"Hey, man!" Scott said to Sam who stood beside Bucky and Steve. Athena knew the story behind how they met, and honestly, it was hilarious.

"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam nodded his head.

"Good to see you, too." The man nodded, "Uh, look, what happened the last time when I.."

"It was a great audition but it will never happen again." The falcon shook his head.

"They tell you what we're up against?" Steve questioned.

"Something about some psycho assassins?" Lang remembered from when Athena explained the entire situation to him after being filled in by Wanda.

"We're outside the law on this one." Steve pierced his lips together. "So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man."

"Yeah, well, what else is new?"

"We should get moving." Bucky said from Steve's car. "We got a chopper lined up."

A loud buzzing went off from the building, an unknown voice ringing through the speakers.

"They're evacuating the airport." Bucky said.

"Stark." Athena scoffed with a fearful expression on his face.

"Stark?" Scott questioned.

"Suit up."
