"Hear me, and rejoice. You have had the privilege of being saved by the great titan. You may think this is suffering, no. It is salvation. Universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile. For even in death, you have become children of Thanos."

Athena sat against a wall with quivering lips covered in black blood and her entire body shaking as a small tear escaped her eye.

"I know what it's like to lose." The purple Titan she knew as Thanos spoke "to feel so desperately that you're right, but to fail nonetheless." Thanos picked up Thor from the ground and placed him on his knees, grabbing a hold of his head "it's frightening, turns the legs to jelly. I ask you to what end? Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say, I am."

He showed his gauntlet and launched the power stone, the only infinity stone he had making Athena's head tighten slightly. She was unsure why it happened when he ignited the stone, but the pain in her body soon took over.

"You talk too much." Thor said.

"The tesseract, or your brothers head." Thanos stated to Loki. "I assume you have a preference."

"Oh, I do." Said Loki "kill away."

Thanos held the power stone to Thor's head and Athena cringed at the sound of Thor screaming in pain. Loki looked to his brother and immediately felt regret "Alright, STOP!"

"We don't have the tesseract" Athena spoke breathlessly as she stood up from her position, clutching onto the wound she received barley an hour ago "it was destroyed on Asgard."

One of Thanos's children began to walk up to her but Thanos raised his arm, telling them to stop.

Loki looked from Athena and then up to Thanos before raising his hand and presenting the tesseract to the giant.

"You—you really are the worst brother" Thor said breathlessly.

"I assure you, brother. The sun will shine on us again." Said loki.

Thanos chuckled "your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian."

"Well, for one thing, I'm not asgardian" Loki stared "and for another... we have the hulk."

Loki stepped out of the way, dropping the tesseract on the floor and pushing Thor away. Hulk came barging in loudly, punching Thanos a repeated amount of times but doing barely any damage.

Thanos grabbed hold of the Hulks hands and opened them widely before punching him harshly in the face. This was the first time Athena had ever seen someone stronger than Hulk, and she wasn't enjoying it.

Hulk tried to swing again, but Thanos continued to punch him until he was down on the floor, almost dead.

Thor stood up and swung a metal bar over Thanos's head but the giant grape didn't move a muscle. He punched him again but Thanos pushed him back whilst one of his children gave Thor a barricade.

"Allfathers" heimdall started "Let the dark magic flow through me one last time." The bi-frost came into the ship and straight onto the Hulk. Athena smiled, knowing that the deaths of asgardians and herself could be avenged, and only few people can do that; the avengers.

She knew she was gonna die. She knew she wasn't gonna survive this. After all, she was in outer space, she could barely breathe.

Thanos walked over to heimdall "that was a mistake." He stabbed him straight through the heart, and the screams of Thor echoed through the ship.

"You're going to die for that" Thor panted loudly. Thanos's same child put a clutch over Thor's mouth so he would stop talking, a part of Athena thought it was funny, but the other half knew it wasn't an appropriate time.

"My humble personage, bows before your grandeur. No other being has ever had the might may the nobility to wield not one, but two infinity stones." Thanos picked up the tesseract from his child's hands "the universe lies within your grasp."

Thanos crushed the tesseract in his hands and picked up a little blue piece from the inside. The stone. He held up his gauntlet and placed the stone in. All of a sudden, his body filled with blue veins before they slowly faded.

Fear filled Athena's body as she saw how powerful Thanos was now. Two infinity stones — that already makes him the most powerful being in the universe.

"There are two more stones on Earth," Thanos started "find them, my children and bring them to me on titan."

"Father, we will not fail you—"

"If I might interject" Thanos turned his head when he heard Loki's voice.

"What are you doing, Loki" Athena whispered under her breath. "If you're going to Earth, you might want a guide. I do have a bit of experience in that arena."

"Do you consider failure experience?" Thanos asked.

"I consider experience-experience." Loki said. "Almighty Thanos, I, Loki, Prince Of Asgard... Odinson, the rightful king of jotunheim, god of mischief do hereby pledge to you... my undying fidelity." During the speech, Athena noticed Loki form a dagger in his hand.

Loki struck for his neck, but Thanos used the space stone to hold Loki's attack back.

"Undying?" The titan questioned. He grabbed hold of Loki's hand and twisted it around "you should choose your words more carefully." Thanos picked the god up by the neck and brought him to eye level.

"You... will.. never be... a god." Loki choked out before being pierced in the neck by the titan.

Athena felt a tear slip down her face as she heard Thor yell from behind his mask.

Thanos walked over to Thor and threw Loki's dead body on the floor in front of him. Athena felt more and more tears slip down her face at the sight. She'd grown close to Loki over the couple of weeks she'd spent to him, she didn't want to see her friend die.

"No ressurections this time" Thanos said before he held up the power stone and started to demolish the building before disappearing through a space portal.

When he was gone, Athena got up as fast as she could and ran over to Thor who had broken out of his 'jail' and was laying over Loki's dead body.

"Thor, tie yourself to me" she said as she pulled out her shoe lace and tied his wrist to hers. She used her magic to create a skin tight forcefield around them to protect them from the atmosphere. She wasn't sure why, she knew she was dead, but she wanted to make sure that if Thor lived, Natasha and Peter would see her one last time.

One last time...
