20 | don't say my name
Something Athena did often was sit on rooftops with Peter Parker after school days.
It was enjoyable. Since no one else knew who they were and anything about their secret lives, they constantly hung out.
Peter knew he liked the girl, but there was no way someone that pretty or that powerful could like him back. It hurt him, sure, but he loved that they could still be friends.
"So, what's it like?" Athena asked as she lied on her stomach, staring down at the busy streets.
"What's what like?" Peter asked as he played with the new mask in his hands.
"Swinging from building to building?" She repeated clearer "how does it feel?"
"Honestly?" Peter asked, causing the girl to smile and nod. "Amazing. It makes me feel like I have no other responsibilities."
"Aren't you ever scared that, I don't know, you run out of webs or you'll miss a building and fall to your utter demise?" She raised an eyebrow, looking to him with a sharp smirk.
"No" Peter shook his head "I never think about that really, I'm pretty safe."
"Well, from what you told me.." she paused "it sounds incredible."
"Do you wanna see?" Peter looked to her with a shy smirk on his face.
"What?" The girl scoffed "no." She shook her head as Peter stood up and held out his hand. "No way."
She cowered back and stood up metres away from Peter.
"Are you sure?" He asked, stepping closer to her as she continued to step further back.
"Yes, Parker. I'm sure." She said before her foot stood on the edge, causing her to almost fall.
Her pressed his chest against hers and grabbed her hands "looks like you have no where to go now."
He placed his mask in her pocket before getting his slinger ready. "Hold on tight."
"Peter!" She screeched as he grabbed hold of her waist and began to swing.
The girl wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist as she buried her head into his neck.
She basically screamed the entire time.
Peter continued to swing from one building to another as Athena peeked through the small gap she could see. It was scary. Sure, she could fly. But it was much scarier when you weren't the one who was in control.
She lifted her head up slowly and looked at Peters features. She was happy he had left his mask off, because she loved to admire his face. No one could blame her, Peter was absolutely stunning.
Peter looked at her and smiled, realising how close their faces were. He looked at her for multiple seconds until she said "Peter, watch out!"
He looked ahead and realised he was about to smack into a building. The spider quickly shot a web at another building and landed on the roof.
