"What the fuck" she said in confusion, staring down at the paper, not understanding a thing.

Her first day was... good to say the least, but after it was finished, she went to the library to do her first set of homework ever, but was now utterly confused by it.

She understood the equations perfectly, she knew how to do them step by step. What she didn't understand was what she was supposed to do. She couldn't move them around the board or press numbers in the bored like she usually did when she was working with Tony's tech.

What was she supposed to do?

She looked up, searching around the library for someone she knew, which was barely anyone. Then, by the praise of god, she laid eyes on Peter Parker who walked into the library. He looked over to the girl, giving her a small smile before slowly walking over to her.

He smiled awkwardly "hey."

"Peter," she smiled "hey, do you think you could help me?"

"Of course, what is it?" He said, taking a seat beside her on the table.

"I've never done homework before." She replied, looking from the white sheet of equations to him. "What do I do?"

"I'm sorry, you've never done homework before?" He raised an eyebrow in confusion "h-how— it's just normal work but a home."

"Yeah no, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do." Athena answered "I know the answer but what do I do?"

Peter gave the girl a confused smile, "if you know the answer then you write it down."

"On the paper?" She furrowed her eyebrows causing Peter to nod.

"Y-Yeah, on the paper." He was way too confused.

"That makes sense." The girl pulled a confused face before grabbing the pencil and finishing all the equations in less than ten seconds.

Peter raised an eyebrow at how fast she did them.

Athena looked at him and immediately caught onto his confusion "oh, I can't work them out that fast, I just had like ten minutes to work them out because I had no idea what to do."

"Oh," he chuckled at the girl, once again catching the gleam of purple in her eyes.

He wondered what that was.

"Thank you for helping me." She smiled, biting her lower lip as she did so.

"It's—it's okay, it wasn't that complicated." He chuckled causing the girl to grin.

"Yeah, it really wasn't." She said, staring into his puppy dog eyes.

She didn't know why, but she felt different with Peter than she did with MJ and Ned. There was something different about him, something she felt in her stomach was different, it made her want to shy down. It tickled, but she didn't understand it.

"Hey, Peter, can I get your number?"

She spent that night wandering around the busy streets of Queens, staring up at the buildings.

She was unsuccessful, which made her angry. She hoped that she would at least see the spider-man, but no. One thing she did pick up was how cold Queens was on a night, and yet it was still beautiful.

When the blonde girl got home, she sighed, falling onto the couch where Steve and Natasha were sitting. Her head fell into Nat's lap whilst her legs fell over Steve's.

"How was your day, Princess?" Steve teased causing the girl to glare at him and for him to chuckle and look down.

Athena and Steve had a complicated relationship. At first, they hated each other. Steve thought shield was stupid to recruit an eight year old girl to fight an alien army, he thought she was immature and too young. Athena thought Steve was too old, and grumpy, he would always yell at her and make her mad. All of that changed when they saved each other's lives.

"I liked school" she admitted "I hated homework."

"I was wondering why you were home at 9:30pm." Nat admitted "usually school finishes at three."

"My mission to find spiderman" the girl rolled her eyes "Why is he so hard to find? It's like he has the power of invisibility or something stupid like that."

"He has the power to shoot webs." Nat reminded the girl "so, what happened, did you make any friends?"

"Yeah," Athena smirked "and almost broke a guys wrist, it was awesome."

"Athena" Steve warned.

"I thought we told you to lay low?" Nat said, giving the girl a warning glance.

Athena huffed "He was hitting on me!"

"Okay, I give her consent." Steve nodded at Nat who shook her head.

"No one can find out who you are, Thea." Natasha said causing Athena to swallow back a gulp "if they do, you'll never be able to hide from the world."

"I know" she sighed "I won't do it again."

"Good."
