A high school party is one thing Athena never thought she would attend.

She didn't know what to wear. Whenever she had small parties with the other avengers she usually just sat in the corner with Thor because the rest of them were drinking and Thor was the only one who couldn't seriously get drunk.

Athena always had a few, but she never wanted to get drunk in front of the other avengers.

She had gone to MJ's house prior, bringing all of her shortish clothes with her because she needed the girl's help.

"I can't even believe I agreed to go to this thing" Athena said, throwing one of Natasha's old black plaid dresses on over a white undershirt. She turned to MJ "how do I look?"

"Adorable and extremely hot at the same time" MJ said causing Athena to smile and look back in the mirror.

"I don't know why you care so much I mean, there isn't any attractive boys there at all." MJ said causing Athena to bite her lip.

It was weird to her that when MJ said that, Peter came into Athena's mind.

She had no idea why.

"I just wanna make a good impression, I mean, I've only been going to this school for five days and I'm already going to a party. I need to at least look the part." Athena said, filling in her eyebrows with MJ's makeup.

"Fair enough." MJ shrugged "but you don't need to worry, everyone at this school is already in love with you. God, even I'm in love with you and I'm a straight female."

Athena chuckled and shook her head "it's just because I'm new, people will eventually get over it. I give it another week."

MJ scoffed "by the way Peter looks at you, I give it another eternity."

Athena tried to look offended "what are you saying?"

"I'm saying that Peter falls in love easy" MJ scrunched up her eyebrows causing Athena's smile to fade. "Why? What did you think i was talking about?"

Athena bit her lip and looked back into the mirror "I don't know, I thought you were saying Peter liked me."

"Oh" MJ said, her smile slowly falling too "Athena can I tell you something?"

"Yeah, sure, what is it?" Athena said, turning around to face MJ with worry filling her eyes.

"Peters, uhm..." she trailed off "Peters gay."

Athena looked at Michelle with wide eyes as she brunette kept a straight face. "Seriously?"

MJ nodded "yeah."

All of a sudden, the brunette haired girl burst into laughter causing Athena to roll her eyes and bang her head hard against the wall.

"I hate you," The girl mumbled against the wood as MJ continued to laugh.

"Oh, your face!" MJ exclaimed "you so have a crush on him!"

"I do not!" Athena said, wacking MJ's arm with her shirt. "I was just... curious."

"Curiosity never killed the cat" MJ spoke causing Athena to shake her head with a smile, finishing getting ready "it was jealousy."

"Whatever."

A high school party — full of arrogant assholes and drunk teenagers. Some kids were in the middle, partying; some were off at the sides, making out or playing beer pong; and, like Athena, some were sat on the couches, laughing with their friends and actually having a genuine time.

Athena felt awkward, right now, she was supposed to be looking for spider-man, but no, here she was at a party with three of her friends and her enemy on the other side of the room.

She turned when she felt a glare on her back. Athena turned around and saw Liz Allen with a vengeful expression on her face.

The blonde haired girl held back a smirk before turning back to MJ, Peter and Ned.

"This is so cool, our first party!" Ned exclaimed causing Peter and MJ to nod.

"Yeah, it's cool I guess." MJ shrugged "bunch of drunk people dancing, what could be better than that?"

"Not being at a party surrounded by drunk people dancing." Athena said, rolling her eyes playfully. "I mean, come on, we could be at home playing video games or something."

"Fair enough—" Peter shrugged before being cut off by a loud explosion outside.

Every single head at the party turned and ran to the windows. Athena and the others ran over to the window and saw the bridge for the river burning on fire.

Athena's eyes widened as she turned back and saw everyone still staring at the windows. She saw Peter, Ned, but the one person she couldn't find was Peter.

She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion before running out of the backdoor of the house and used her magic to boost herself up onto the roof. She looked around and saw a swaying figure in front of the fire.

"It's spiderman!" She heard someone yell from inside.

Athena sucked in a breath and watched him from the roof. She noticed he wasn't dressed in his suit, the only thing he had on was his mask.

This was her chance. She thought.

It must have been someone from the party as it was swinging from their direction, the outfit also looked extremely familiar to her.

Also, where did Peter go?

Was Peter Spider-Man?

No, that's impossible.

She watched the fire ahead as the spider-man got closer.

She was getting closer.
