chapter 10 - i'm friends with the bully?

"honey... wake up" i heard my mom say and then shake me a little

"but it's the weekend!" i whined and rolled over

"it's friday. there's a handsome guy waiting for you downstairs. come on!" my mom said and sarted shaking me again

i groaned and got up to see who she was talking about.

i moved the curtains and find kris in his car, and aaron looking up at me with a smirk

i closed the curtain and made my way to the bathroom so i could take a shower

-30 minutes later-

i walked over to my closet and took out a light pink jeans, a black hoodie, and my black converse.

before i went out, i took some bracelets to match with my outfit, put on my eye glasses, and took my backpack.

as i was making my way down the stairs, i saw my mom smirking at me

"he's cute" she said and followed me into the kitchen

"whatever mom" i said and rolled my eyes

"hey katty lack!" i exclaimed and kissed katty's forehead before heading out the door

"hi leli!" katty yelled back

i went outside with my mom following behind me.

"why are you following me?" i asked and turned around to face her

"i want to see this boy up close" mom said ad started to walk

but i sticked my arm out, signaling to stop walking

"no. i have to go school. he'll probably come over after school so we could finish a project" i said

"but tonight i have surgeries to do!" my mom whined

"and that's why we're doing the project here. you're not going to be here and embarass me" i said

"your father is staying tonight" she said

"he's cool with boys. he won't embarass me" i said and began walking towards the car

"bye mom!" i yelled and waved at her

as i got in, i saw aaron smirking at me.

"why do you keep smirking?" i asked as i buckled up my seatbelt

"your mom seems cool" he said and kris began driving

"she is. but when it comes to boys, she tends to be pretty annoying" i said and chuckled

"she likes me. she wants you to date me" aaron said and smirked

"yeah well.. that's not gonna happen" i said and looked at aaron

there was something on his face i couldn't understand, i guess it was.... confusion? i don't know

i shrugged it off and just looked out the window

-at school-

we all entered the school, and kris had to seperate from us because he was in a different grade.

before we walked into the hallway, i stopped walking.

"what's wrong?" aaron asked me and stopped by my side

"i can't go in there. their all going to laugh at me" i said and made the tears in my eyes swell

"hey. look at me" aaron whispered and put both his hands on my shoulder so i could look at him

i looked up to meet his gorgeous blue eyes.

"you're going to make it. you're strong enough to fight through this. people are just jealous because you get to hang out with the most popular boy" aaron said and smirked

i rolled my eyes, but i couldn't help the smile that was creeping onto my face.

"you got this" aaron said and we both started walking inside our hallway

everybody was looking at us. i guess it was beause aaron was holding onto my hand.

as i was walking, i noticed britney and her 'evil minions' were glaring at me

"their glaring at me" i whispered to aaron

"ignore them. you got this" aaron whispered back

wow.. aaron is actually helping me. who knew my bully can become my friend?
