chapter 30 - halloween discussions

"guess what?!" i exclamied as i jumped on aaron's back excitedly

"what?" he groaned but wrapped his arms around my legs to make sure i don't fall

"tomorrow's halloween!" i screamed in his ear

aaron pinched my calve and then dropped me.

"ow. you didn't have to scream in my ear" he said and began rubbing his ear

"and ow. you didn't have to make me fall" i said and rubbed my head to where i hurt myself

"woops. sorry babe" aaron said and helped me up

"are you okay?" he asked and i nodded yes

"okay" he mumbled and kissed my forehead

"what do you wanna be for halloween?" i asked him as we plopped ourselves down onto the sofa

"i don't know.. i'll just be..... me" he said and shrugged

"no! you are wearing a costume" i said and crossed and my arms

"why do you even care? it's just halloween" aaron said and then rolled his eyes

"you get free candy!" i said and smiled widely

"who knows.. maybe someone will poison them" aaron said and shrugged again

"aaron! we're going to be matching for halloween. okay? okay." i said and kissed his cheek

"yeah yeah. what are we going to wear?" he asked and scrolled through to tv channels

"how about.... mickey and minnie mouse.. or beauty and the beast!" i said and widened my eyed as i said those ideas

"how about we go as lexi and aaron?" he asked sarcastically and did a goofy grin

"noo... we're going to go as mickey and minnie" i said

"alright. fine with me" aaron said and shrugged

"sweetie. i'm going to be gone for a few hours to work some late nght shifts. can you watch your little sister as i'm working?" i my mom asked as she stuffed her phone in her bag

"how about dad?" i asked

"a train accident happened, and the hospital needs all the help they need. just hang tight and watch katty please?" she asked

"alright" i said and hugged her

"thank you sweetie! see you later" my mom said and waved before she headed out the door

"katty! dinner's on the table!" i yelled from downstairs

i then began to hear thumping noises, and then see katty walking into the kitchen.

"what dinnah?" she asked and sat down in the chair

"your favorite. macaroni and cheese" i said and handed her plate

"yay!" she exclaimed and wgan clapping her hands

i shook my head, and laughed at her cuteness.

as i was walking to the living room. the phone began to ring.

i walked over to it and picked it ip without looking at the number.

me - "hello?"

mom - "sweetie? is this you?!"

me - "yes mom. this is me. what's happening?"

mom - "it's aaron"

me - "what about him?"

mom - "he's part of the accident"
