chapter 12 - walking out

me and aaron stayed in the same position. our lips were still connected, my arms were around his neck, and his arms are tightly secred aroundy waist.

we released and just stared into eachother's eyes.

aaron pushed me off, and i landed on my back. i sat up and see aaron pacing around mumbling some stuff to himself

"what's wrong?" i asked

"i shouldn't have done that. i'm so so stupid!" aaron yelled in frustration

"aaron... calm down. it's okay" i said and stood up holding his hand

aaron quickly yanked it away and started pulling his hair in frustration

"why are you acting like it's such a big deal? it was just a kiss" i said and sat back down on my bed, watching him

"it is such a big deal lexi. and it was more than just a kiss" aaron whispered the last part

"i gotta go" he mumbled and took his backpack with him

he opened the door and ram down the stairs. i followed behind him.

kris was already waiting in his car.

before aaron could go inside, i screamed:

"so what?! you're just going to leave just like that?!" i yelled

aaron stopped running and turned around to face me.

"lexi.... you don't get it" aaron said and started making his way towards me

"no aaron. i DO get it. i was some game you wanted to play, and i fell for it. you won" i said

"no... that kiss was more than just a kiss to me.. i felt something, but i can't understand what it is. i just need time to figure things out" aaron said and sighed

"take all the time you need. but you're just going to leave anyway" i mumbled the last part

"lexi..." aaron whispered and tried grabbing my hand

but i quickly snatched it away.

"just go aaron. take all the time you want" i said and walked inside before he could say anything else
