-still jeric's p.o.v-
"hey aunt layla. are you feeling alright?" i asked her as i placed my hand on his shoulder
"jeric" she whispered
"hey aunt layla. lexi's at mcdonald's, i'll be the one to drop you guys to my house. come on" i said
she nodded and carried the little girl in her arms.
i took their luggages and started leading her to mcdonald's
-lexi's p.o.v-
i sat there. looking blankly at the table.
i heard the door open, and look up to see my mom holding katty, who is sleeping in her arms. and jeric rolling our luggages
"hey sweetie. are you alright?" she said as she took a seat in front of me
katty then began waking up, and she started rubbing her eyes as she sat up from my mom's grip.
"hey leli. hi mommy" she waved at me and then kissed my mom's cheek
"hey katty lack" i said and smiled weakly at her
"hey sweetheart" my mom replied and kissed her forehead
"why you crying?" she asked mom and then looked at me
"we're not crying. there was just something in our eyes" my mom told her
"oh.. okay" she said
"are you guys ready?" jeric asked us
my mom nodded and we all took our luggage.
jeric began leading us to his car. once he got there, he had a red ford truck. it was big, but it was nice.
he help us put our luggage at the back of the seat.
i took a seat at the passenger seat, and my mom stayed in the back with katty.
jeric began to drive.
"are you guys okay? you just got here and you're already crying. i'm here if anything you know" jeric said not keeping his eyes from the road
"your uncle john died" my mom sad and then began to slowly cry
"oh.. i'm sorry. if it was something this big, you didn't have to tell me" he said and i turned to face him. he had tears swelling in his eyes, but nothing was comming out.
"it's alright jeric. you're our family. you deserve to know. and he is your uncle" i told him
"but.... he was so innocent. why? he was my favorite uncle" he whispered and pouted. trying to fight the tears
"i know jeric. he was the best dad as well" i said
-at jeric's house-
we all got out the car, and entered his home.
"mom! their here!" jeric yelled
minutes later i saw a lady with short browm hair come out of the kitchen
"hey layla. i've missed you so much" she said and hugged my mom tightly
my mom didn't hug back. she just stood there and began to sob.
"oh my. what's wrong?" she asked and placed both her hands on her shoulders
my mom didn't say anything. she just stood there and tried to hold back her tears, but they just kept comming out.
"um.. aunt jaelene. can we talk about it after dinner?" i asked he quietly
she took her hands off my mom's shoulders and nodded.
"jeric. can you please show lexi where she is going to be staying" his mom asked jeric
"yeah sure. follow me" jeric said and took my luggage
jeric began walking up the stairs, and i started following behind him.
we reached the first door on the left, and jeric opened it.
as i walked in, i saw a guy and a blonde girl making out on the bed.
"dude! get off the damn bed! lexi is here and you're here making out with a blondie!" he yelled and pointed to the blonde girl
"i have a name" she snapped at jeric
"yeah. well sucks to suck because i don't care" he snapped back
"jennifer. i think you should go" the boy, who i believe is james. told jennifer
"alright. i'll see you on monday" she said before planting a kiss on his lips
she walked out and glared at jeric.
"sorry that you had to see that" james said
we both walked into the room. the room was big. there was 2 beds, a bathroom as well.
"you'll be sleeping there" james said as he plopped onto his bed and pointed to the ground where there was sleeping bags at
"you idiot! she's not sleeping on she's ground!" jeric told him
"it's fine jeric" i said
"yeah jeric. it's fine. mom said to make her sleep on the ground" james said as he sheugged and smirked
"no! mom said that YOU have to sleep on the ground" jeric said
"is there a guess room?" i asked them
"no. see we're not that rich to buy a really big house with a guess room in it" jeric said
"oh" that's all i could say
"you could sleep here on my bed. and i'll sleep on the couch" he said and pointed to the couch near to window
"no. i'm fine on the couch" i said
"it's alright. i'm the gentlman here" he said and smiled
"okay. if you insist. thank you" i told him
"no problem" he replied and smiled back
