chapter 49 - intoxicated

i stood there frozen with wide eyes.

i looked around and see everybody.

i saw aunt jaelene, james, jeric, katty, callie, aaron, his mom, and my mon.

a smile appeared on my face and i started walking towards them.

"welcome back sweetie" aunt jaelene said and then hugged me

"lexi" i heard someone say behind me

i turned my back and see aaron standing there with a grin

i ran up to him and jumped in his arms.

i wrapped my legs around his waist, hugging him tightly, while he spins me around.

"you know i love you right?" he asked me as he sets me down and then kisses my cheek

"of course i knkw that. and you knkw i love you to" i said and kissed him. not on the cheek, but lips.

we're now all gathered up in a circle, eating our dinner on the grass.

call us crazy, but this is what we do. and i like it.

"i have something for lexi" aaron blurted out

i looked at him with a confused look

"alright. come on" aunt jaelene said and we all stood up following behind her

-minutes later-

we all started to sit in the living room, waiting for aaron to finish setting up god knows what.

after setting up, aaron began to strum the guitar he was holding and then began to sing.

aaron smiled at them and then started walking towards me.

he knelt down and then pulled out a red box.

"lexi marie. will you marry me?" he asked and pulled out a.... plastic ring?

"is this a joke?" i asked him and crossed my arms

"no it's not. i can't propose to you with a real wedding ring because we're still so young. but i promise you that i will marry you. so will you marry me?" he asks me one more time

i grinned at him and then nodded.

"yes" i replied as he picked me up and twirled me in circles

"i love you so much" he said as he placed me down

"i love you to" i replied and then kissed him
