chapter 18 - morning pick ups

*beep* *beep* *beep*

i groaned and shifted my body as i heard my alarm clock go on.

i openedy eyes slowly, but only to meet the bright light from the sun.

i groaned and shifted my body, but i ended up falling off the bed.

ugh. i fell down yesterday. and now today?!

i got up slowly, amd walked over to my alarm clock and switch it off

i walked over to the curtain to close it a little.

i made my way to the bathroom as i yawned and stretched

-20 minutes later-

i made my way to my closet and picked out an outfit i could wear for school.

i took my high-waisted jean shorts

california sweater

and my black converse

once i was done changing, i blow dried my hair dry and put my hair into a messy bun.

it's rare that you see me not care how i look when i go to school, but today i didn't care. because today is the day i'm going on a date with aaron lockwood!

i snapped out of my thoughts when i heard my phone ringing.

i walked towards my desk, and picked up my phone when i got there.

*phone convo*

me - "hello?"

aaron - "good morning lexi"

me - "good morning aaron"

aaron - "i'm waiting for you outside to give you a ride to school. and i have a little surprise for you"

me - "haha. okay"

aaron - "mkay. see you soon"

me - "you too"

*end of phone convo*

i hung up and grasped onto my phone and smiled as i closed my eyes.

aaron is being so sweet now, since we are 'dating'

i walked out my room and made my downstairs.

when i reached the bottom steps, i saw aaron talking to my parents, and smiling everytime they said something

i walked into the living room slowly, and once i reached the living room. everyone stopped talking and looked at me

"hey lex" aaron greeted and sent me a smile

"hey aaron" i replied and sat next to him

"i got this for you" aaron said and handed me a starbucks coffee

"aww. you didn't have to do this you know" i said and smiled at him as i took the cup

"i know. but i knew it would've been the good thing to do. and i didn't want to seem like a total douche and not come here without anything" aaron said

"well... thank you so much for the coffee" i said and sipped the coffee

i looked at the clock and realized that of we don't head to school in 25 minutes. we'd be late

"we gotta get going to school" i said and stood up

they all stood up and i made my way towards the door, with my parents following me

as i was walking to kris' car, i heard my parents yell:

"bye sweetie! have fun in school today!" my mom yelled

i looked back and waved back before going inside the car with aaron
