chapter 19 - new girl

we finally reached school, and kris dropped us off.

before i got out, i stayed back a little to ask kris something

"why aren't you going to school?" i asked him and put my backpack on my back

"i'm skipping" kris said

"aah. okay, well have fun to wherever you're going to" i said and got out the car

"thanks. have fun in school!" kris said before driving off

i turned my body and began walking. but then i realized that aaron wasn't there.

i looked around, but didn't find him.

i guess he left me..

i sighed and began walking into the school

as i was walking into the hallways, i heard whispers..

'i heard she's dating aaron lockwood'

'why would aaron pick her? she's such a slut'

'i heard she gave aaron $100 to be her boyfriend'

'what a whore'

the students whispered to eachother as i kept walking.

i let my head fall to the ground, and made the tears swell in my eyes.

once i got to my locker, i looked up and did my combination.

once i got it open, i looked at the mini mirror i placed in my locker right when i got it.

my eyes were pink. i guess it was from holding back the tears.

i inhaled deeply, and exhaled.

i grabbed all the books i needed and closed my locker.

*ring* *ring*

the bell rang.

i made my way into homeroom.

-first period-

i walked into first period and found aaron. finally!

he looked up at me and i smiled at him.

aaron didn't do anything but frown as he looked down.

'what's wrong with him?'

i asked myself

i shrugged it off and sat at the way end. staying as far from aaron as i could to give him space.

as i took my seat, a girl walked in with her head hung low.

there were no more seats availabe, except the one next to me. which is on my right

the girl picked up her head and looked around for a seat.

as she saw the empty seat that was next to me, she slowly made her way to the seat and made sure she didn't make eye contact with anyone.

"good morning class!" mr. williams greeted as he walked into the classroom

"we have a new student. can you please stand up and tell us your name" mr. williams asked the girls

the girl nodded and stood up.

"hi. i'm leigh marie" she said shyly and sat back down

hmm. leigh.. what a nice name.. she has similar features like me. she has brown hair, brown eyes, amd almost my height..

"nice to meet you leigh marie" mr. williams said and smiled

"thank you" she mumbled

wait.. she's a marie? does that make us.. related? or nah
