chapter 48 - welcome back

"how are you feeling?" james asked as he made his way towards me and then sat on the chair that's next to me

"i'm fine" i replied

he nodded. "well that's good to hear. you know we've missed you so much right?" he asked me

"i know. i watched all of you come in, and talk to me" i said

james sat there frozen and wide eyes.

"how'd you see us?" he asked

"long story" i replied

"so you heard everything i said?" he asked

"yeah" i replied

"fuckin shit" i heard him mutter

"it's okay if you like me or whatever. i'm not mad at you or anything. i can't control your feelings" i said

he didn't reply but he just nodded.

"but you do know we can't date right?" i asked him

he sighed and then nodded. "yeah i know" he replied

"come here" i motioned for him to come closer to me

he looked at me confusingly but came to me and went closer to me anyways.

i muffled him into a hug and whispered.

"thank you" i said

he released and then looked at me.

"for what?" he asked confusingly

"for being there for me most of the time" i said and smiled at him

"hey, that's what cousins do. don't they?" he asked and smirked

"yes" i replied and then we both laughed.

"are you ready to go home?" my mom asked me

"go home. as in.. go home, home?" i asked her

"no. go back to aunt jaelene's house" my mom said and then chuckled

"yes, i'm ready" i said as i stood up

i started walking behind her as she made her way towards aunt jaelene's car

-at aunt jaelene's house-

as i walked in the house. i noticed that nobody was in here.

i looked back but then my mom wasn't there.

what the actual fuck?

i said to myself

i started walkig around the house, but nobody was in here.

so i made my way to the backyard, and then out of no where everybody jumped and screamed.

"WELCOME BACK!"

they all screamed
