Chapter 38 Epilogue

3rd Person POV

The bright moonlight illuminating Zion's face. His eyes full of desire and longing for Jade. The lover that he lost for awhile and now he had found her. This time, he does not want to let her go, never would he will ever let her go. His embrace became so tight. Ayaw na nitong bitiwan pa si Jade. Naghiwalay ang kanilang mga labi at tiningnan nito si Jade. "Look at me. I was fuming mad at you lastnight when I found out we have a baby. I felt like you did an unforgivable sin. I have lost the opportunity to cuddle, raise and nurture my child. However, I realized I have still my lifetime to be with Kaitlin. I will try to make it up for the lost time. For the lost opportunity." Ang umpisa pa nito. "But looking at you again this morning. It is not hate that I felt but the frustration of not being with you. Realization hit me big time that I could not live without you. I don't want to let you go and I will never let you go." Ang usal pa nito kay Jade. He kissed Jade one more time, a kissed so deep, he was insatiable.

Although Zion already left but his voice and words kept on reverberating on Jade's head. Like a recorder, playing over and over again in her head. The scene played in her mind as well when she told him:

Tumingin si Jade sa gawi niya. I am furious with anger right now. "I want to know why you told my family that we are patching things up when we are not?! I want to know why you told them that you love me and well in fact you don't?! Why? Why?" Ang pagsisigaw ko pa sa kanya. "I don't want anymore faccade. I don't want anymore to pretend, to hide and to lie. Why do you want to put me in this situation again? Why?" Ang sunod sunod pa nitong tanong. This time hindi na nito mapigilan ang emosyon niya. Ang mga luha niya. She don't want to pretend that she's okay when actually she's not okay. Napahagulgol ito, not caring what will Zion think of her.

"Look at me. Gusto mong malaman ang sagot? I don't need explanation why. All I know is that I love you! Yes, all along it is still you and only you that I love." Those words, the manly sound that echoes in Jade's head made her smile.

She was looking at Kaitlin asleep on her bed. Kaitlin will always be a reminder of her deep, unending love towards Zion. This is the time wherein both her and Zion were given a third chance. Though they separated but they ended up being together this time around. Mahal na mahal ito ni Jade ng sobra. Nasa malalim siyang pag iisip ng mag ring ang phone niya. It is an unknown number. She answered it. "Just to let you know that I have arrived home safely. I missed you already. I wished you both are here with me now." Ang madamdamin pang sabi ni Zion kay Jade. Kinilig bigla si Jade sa tinuran ni Zion sa kanya.

"I miss you too! Sana nandito ka rin katabi namin ni Kaitlin." Ang usal pa ni Jade kay Zion. She tossed on her bed that night pagkapos niyang magligpit ng mga kakailanganin nila. She doesn't know where they're going. All she know is they are going to a beach. Napagkasunduan nila ni Zion na susunduin sila nito ni Kaitlin.

Jade was on here shorts and a sleeveless tank top at ipinusod na lang nito ang kanyang buhok sa pagmamadali. Kasama si Kaitlin at si Cora na dala dala ang mga gamit ng bata. Tumakbo kaagad si Kaitlin sa ama nito. "Daddy!" Ang sigaw pa ni Kaitlin, sabay takbo at yakap pa nito sa Daddy niya.

Niyakap at kinarga ni Zion ang anak nito. He was kissing her face. "My beautiful baby!" Ang sabi naman ni Zion sa kanya.

"I am not a baby Daddy. I am a big girl!" Ang sabi pa ni Kaitlin sa Daddy.

Niyakap ulit ni Zion ito. "Yes big girl. Just don't grow up too fast. Daddy still needs to catch up with you." Ang nakangiti pang sabi ni Zion sa anak nito.

Natuwa si Jade sa nakikita nito. Lumapit si Zion sa kanya at humalik ito sa pisngi niya. They are all a picture of a happy family. Jade's heart is aching for this dream. Sana magkatotoo. Sana may pag asa pa ang piping dasal niya. Pero iwinaglit ni Jade sa isip niya ang umasa pa. Ayaw na niyang ma frustrate pa sa paulit ulit na pagkakataon. Pinagbuksan ito ni Zion ng pintuan sa passenger seat ng kanyang SUV. "Daan muna tayo ng opisina at may kukunin lang ako sandali. Samahan mo ako." Ang sabi pa nito.
