Chapter 5.5: Nightmare (Mini Chapter)

Narrator POV

The shack was quiet with Leon and Marie inside sound asleep...Well at least Leon was. Marie however wasn't having the best night. She was tossing and turning and sweating bullets as cold as ice. She would wimper every now and then and mumble some words...

Marie POV

(???: Your nothing without me!)

Marie: No...please...

(???: Your finished!)

Marie: Snap out of it!

(???: No one can stop us! Not even *clouded words*)

Marie: Stop this at once!

(???: *grabbed a familar inkling by the neck* This is your hero?!)

Marie: Don't do it! STOP!!

(There was a loud snap then Marie woke up)

Marie: NOOOO---h---huh?

She was breathing fast, her chest like a bike pump. Her beads of sweat now covering her face. She was panting and shaking. She had the worst nightmare and it wasn't the first time. She got up from her bed and walked to her bathroom. She was starring at herself in the mirror. Her eyes low with bags under them. She splashed water on her face from the sink then dried her face off. She was wide awake now. The sweat beads were gone, but she was still shaking a little. She left the bathroom sat down in the main room with a mug of hot milk to calm her down. She thought to herself as she sipped her milk

Marie: (This is the third night this week, ive been out of it. Sleep pattern gone...Callie...Alone---) She paused for a minute and realized that now, she wasn't alone. She got up, put her drink away and walked to Leon's room.

She slowly opened the door to see him fast asleep.

Marie: Adorable...

She sat on his bed side with her new Fact-o-Pedia.

Marie: The agent 4 Fact-o-Pedia. She then flips to a blank page and writes: Agent 4 known as LEON, is super cute when he sleeps.

She then signed it and put it back under the bed. Hopefully Leon never finding it. She was still a little shaky from the dream, but seeing Leon gave her a feeling of peace and light. Earlier that night, even though she wasn't with him long, she felt happy again with him around. She felt...good like nothing could harm them when he was there. She looked at his limp body and noticed his sheet was a little messy. She got up and pulled it up to his chest.

Marie: There you go

She then heard Leon mumble something in his sleep:

Leon: (Leave some for me stewardess)

Marie just giggled at his mumbling.

Marie: What are you dreaming about Leon?

She then got up from his bed and was at his doorway. She then spoke.

Marie: Tomarrow will be a good day...I know it.

She then went back into her room, crawled into bed, and fell back asleep.
