I continued to admire the pictures on the wall until August and Lisa came from the back. Lisa came back with a sleeping chase in her arms , she said he was up all lastnight excited about the ice cream date , so he only got a few hours of sleep.
" Take care of my boy now , don't have him out too late , call when you guys are on your way back" she said while handing the sleeping chase to me , while August lead the way outside . " Ready? " he asked after buckling chase up and getting in. " Ready " I said .

Halfway through the car ride chase woke up.. when we arrived to the park he headed straight for the slides , we learned that was his favorite thing to do at the park , he liked the " thrill " of sliding down . While August long body , got on the slide with him I waited at the end where they'll slide down too. I was really enjoying the weather , it was so beautiful outside , and we were having a blast.
" Come get on the swing with me " chase said while tugging on my arm , " Beat you there " I said while doing a little jog , letting him win the race .. When we got to the swings I helped him up , and then got on the swing next to him . August came over and pushed chase , while I saw who could swing the highest even though chase had help. Eventually we all got tired , and was ready for ice cream.
We walked to the ice cream shop , and went in to take a seat . August went up to order for us while I made conversation with chase . " So chase , what's your favorite color? " , he replied " wed " I chuckled at the way he pronounced it , and then proceeded to ask more questions . I found out he loves watching paw patrol , he loved dinosaur shaped things , his eye color was black , and I was getting to learn about how much he likes daycare until August arrived back with the ice cream.
He got me krazy cookie dough , chase two scoops of chocolate with whip cream , and he got hisself mint chocolate . I always teased him about eating it , it was his favorite ice cream. " You know you're about the only black person that eats that right? " I asked while laughing , " you know you can shut up sometimes right? " he asked back in a nonchalant tone . He hated me teasing him about it , because he said it was his brother favorite kind also.
We continued to eat our icecream and make conversation , until this lady walked up to our table .. " you're the guy from my building right? " she asked while looking at August , he looked up from his phone and then replied " yes I am. " , " oh well its great I bumped into you , you left this on the top of building " she said while handing him a book ..
" Thank you , I been looking for this. Thanks for keeping it safe for me " he said while giving her a smile , " you're welcome " she said , then turned around and went to the counter . " Where you leave that? " I asked while continuing to eat my icecream .. " the other day I went over a friend house , and we sat on top of the building and chilled and smoke one " he said ..
" Cool " I replied , I wasn't going to trip about it , because it didn't seem that major .

After we left the ice cream shop , we went and took chase home and then arrived back at our house . Me and August really haven't been making any conversation , I wasn't mad about the whole book situation , I just didn't want too talk , and he made no effort to talk to me neither.
I got out the car , and headed to the door and waited for August to come so he could unlock the door . After he unlocked the door I went to the kitchen to take something out too cook , I think August been mentioning how he wanted fried chicken . I took out chicken wings , season that I was going to seasoning it with and ingredients to make oven backed macaroni and cheese .
I put the chicken in hot water , so it could thaw out. While it was thawing , I went up to our bedroom laid down . August was laying down , on Instagram . " Sorry about today " he said , I gave him a confuse look then said " sorry for what? You did nothing wrong " , " I know , I just felt like I should .. " he replied while focusing back on his phone .
