* Jade pov *
" Are you hungry? " Eddie asked me. I shook my head no , I was just ready to get home and take a nice bath. Tonight has been one hell of a night , and I would like for it to come to an end real soon. A bath and sleep is what I needed.
" Are you sure? "
" Positive. " I responded before letting my seat back, and closing my eyes. I had already put the address in his GPS, so all I needed for him to do was wake me when we arrived to the house.
Instead of things going the way I planned them too, they went the complete opposite. I was asleep for about 5 minutes , before he tapped on me and started a whole new conversation. Now it's 4am and we're sitting in Walmart parking lot, eating junk food and talking about random shit.
" So .. who was the guy to you back there at the club? " He asked while taking a sip of his Watermelon Crush soda. " My Ex boyfriend. " I said dryly , I really wasn't in the mood to reminisce about Randell. Especially to someone I barely even know.
" Want to go into detail? Looks like you want to say more. "
" Nah , can we go now? " I asked with irritation laced in my voice. He glanced at me and just shook his head and cranked the car up. He quickly pulled out of Walmart parking lot and started heading towards my house.
" I didn't mean to upset you. " He said while picking up his phone and pluggin it into the aux. I just looked at him and nodded my head, and looked back out the window.
" I don't understand head gestures , speak up. "
" I said mmhm "
" mmhm? What's a mmhm? " he asked.
" A mmhm , is a yeah okay. " I responded back. I knew he wanted me to confirm whether he made me upset or not, but I didn't care to confirm anything.
" Mmhm Jade. " He said using the same tone I previously used. The rest of the car ride was awkward . All you could hear was the sweet sound of Bryson tiller playing. Eventually we arrived to the house, I grabbed my things and reached for the door handle so I could exit the car, but he grabbed my arm. " Can I please get your number? " He asked while looking at me directly into my dark brown eyes . I contemplated on whether I wanted this man to have my number or not. My mind reverted back to Randell , so I made the decision to say no.
" No. Im pregnant , thanks for the ride home though. " I said before quickly exiting the car and heading towards the entrance.
He sat and waited til I got into the house before pulling off. I walked into the house and headed towards the kitchen. I placed my things on the counter , and then went to the fridge to get a water. I grabbed a water, and headed towards my bedroom. All I wanted right now was peace.
