Act 1; Scene 5: One Jump Ahead (reprise)

(After everyone's done dancing, Virgil tries to help Rose up, but accidentally ends up dropping her)

Rose: Hey meanie!

Virgil: Oh I'm sorry...princess.

Roman: Oh you're gonna get it now.

(Rose and Virgil start chasing each other around until she drops her necklace and laughs, goes to pick it up when someone runs into her. she looks up and sees Deceit's group.)

Rose: Oh, sorry! We were just running around...

Megan: No duh princess.

Alex: You'd think the princess would have more manners!

Charles: Oh and look! She's with the dykes!

Rose: You guys realize how immature you are right?

(The rest of the Sander boys come over to see what the problem is. Roman grabs the necklace from Remus and gives it back to Rose. She puts it on and smiles. )

Remus: Alright guys cut it out. This isn't what we're here to do. 

(Remus starts to walk away, the rest of Deceit's gang following confused. All of a sudden Remus stops, and turns around to look at Rose)

Remus: Say remember the good old days, Rose?

Rose: What are you talking about?

Remus: When you and Deceit-

Rose: STOP RIGHT THERE REMUS! Those weren't good days at all!

Remus: Oh, but Princess-

(Remus, Megan, Alex, and Charles all corner the Sander brothers and Rose. The Sander's all circle around Rose to protect her. Roman and Virgil step up in front, while Thomas, Patton, and Logan stay behind them, protecting Rose from behind. Remus looks Rose straight in the eye, his own eyes glowing a dark green.)

Remus: Yes they were.

(Remus starts staring right at Rose when all of a sudden Rose starts seeing all the people in the kingdom dead, and fire everywhere. She turns around and sees Patton crying out for help. She tries to move, but she can't. She turns around and sees that she's tied to the wall with chains, helpless and not able to help anyone. She turns back around to see Logan and Thomas crying over Patton's dead body. All of a sudden Megan and Alex walk behind Thomas and Logan, with large knives in their hands. She tries to call out to them, but it's too late. Next, Charles walks behind Roman, and Virgil sacrifices himself to save Roman. Roman bends over his dead brothers and turns around to Rose. "It's your fault! You could've saved us! You're the bad guy! Janus was right, you're the bad guy!" "No! It's not me Roman!" Then we see Remus smirking behind Roman. "Roman lookout!", but once again, it's too late. We see Janus hovering over Rose when all of a sudden the stage goes black. Rose wakes up and sees there's no fire, no one's dead, and she sees that Patton and Thomas are hugging her while Logan, Roman, and Virgil are fighting off Remus. The necklace starts glowing white and Rose starts screaming. Leaves start blowing around Remus. Remus sees Rose has "woken up" and the gang runs off)

Rose: W-what happened?

Logan: We're not sure. He was staring at you, and all of a sudden you broke down crying.

Patton: Are you ok Rose?

Thomas: Rose what happened?

Virgil: Alright everyone calm down. Let her breathe for a second.

(Virgil bends down to Rose and holds her hand, and starts rubbing circles on her palm)

Roman: Rose do you feel a little better?

Rose: Yea I guess...

Patton: If you feel comfortable...

Thomas: Could you...maybe?

Logan: Rose could you tell us what you saw, please?

(Logan pulls out a notebook from his jacket and starts writing things down)

Rose: Well, Remus started staring at me, and all of a sudden I saw you all dead on the floor.

Patton: Are you ok? Do you want to keep talking about it?

Rose: I'm ok Patt, and I'd rather not.

Logan: That's perfectly fine Rose.

*music starts here!*

(Rose slowly stands up with the help of Roman and Virgil. She walks over to the edge of a fountain and sits down)

Rose: Queen
Princess
I don't buy that
If only they'd look closer
Would they see a future queen?
No, sirree
They'd find out
There's so much more to me...

(Rose looks down to her necklace and sees it's glowing a bright yellow, green, and orange)
