Light And Dark: A Musical

Act 1; Scene 12: Friends on the Other Side (mashup)

(We see that Remus and Janus are walking through town. Janus is walking with his head held high, while Remus is cowering next to Janus. There's clearly some tension between the characters.)

Remus: Janus...are you sure about this?

Janus: Remus, this is what we need to do.

Remus: Ok. I have the plan right here.

(Remus hands Janus the plan)

Janus: Ok, so we're going to go in there...and scare them?

Remus: Yep!

Janus: And this will start the...

Remus: Yeah!

Janus: Okay...I guess. Is everyone in position?

Remus: Jeff and Megan are in the back, while Alex and Charles are already inside.

Deceit: Ok. Let's do this.

(They walk in and hear a high pitch scream. They run into the kitchen and see Rose, Logan, Patton, Thomas, Roman, and Virgil are all in a circle surrounded by the Hugo boys, and girl. Janus and Remus join them, making sure to open all the blinds to the windows first)

Janus: Oh Rose...you fell right into our trap.

Rose: What are you talking about Deceit? Why are you here? How'd you get here?

Janus: You see...I wanted to get you all into the same room. Rose, we need to talk.

Rose: Why would you need us all in the same room? What do they have to do with any of this?!

Megan: Oh my gosh just shut up and listen!

(Jeff steps closer to Rose and puts his hand under her chin. Rose tries to fight him off, ending up in them getting into a fight. Virgil pulls Jeff off, and they start fighting. We have the lights fading in and out and then they stop. We see a bright orange glow, and the lights fade back in. We see all the Sander brothers and Rose tied up in chairs. All of a sudden we hear people outside the castle screaming)

Townsfolk 1: What's going on in the castle?

Townsfolk 2: It's Janus! He's gone to save Princess Rose from those awful boys!

Rose: Why are you doing this Deceit?

Janus: I am supposed to own you, Rose! I am supposed to rule this kingdom alongside you! You don't want to make your family disappointed, do you?

Rose: I don't play by your rules anymore!

*music starts here*

Janus: You're in my world now, not your world
And I've got friends on the other side

Remus: I find delight in the gruesome and grim

Megan, Alex, Charles: He's got friends on the other side

Janus: Sit down at my table
Put your mind at ease

(Megan gets in Virgil's face, obviously flirting)

Megan: I put a spell on you

Janus: If you relax, it will enable me

Megan: Now you're mine

Janus: To do anything I please

(Rose, obviously angry, kicks Megan making her fall backward. She stands up, and Rose's necklace starts glowing a dark red.)
